Accord EX-L 3.5L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 11,200 miles

I now have 1 year with my car. So far, with 11K+ miles it has, i have spent over 3,600 on fuel alone. This vehicle is programmed to give me 15Mile per Gallon. I have tried all kinds of fuels. I read the manual and it said to put in Regular gas. I did that for three months = 15mpg. thats with both highway and city driving. I upgraded to plus three months of that + fuel injector cleaner = 15mpg. again, mostly highway miles. i went to premium and wow, the car is super responsive with this fuel. it feels mean and strong when you press the gas. still, bastard only gave me 15 mpg the whole entire time. Again, i am driving more highway than i do city miles.

What the hell is wrong with this car. no matter what type of fuel i put, it only gives me 15Mpg. i feel like i am driving a Tahoe, a super large SUV of some kind.

My tires are 35 psi all around. 32 psi is the recommended but that adds drag and lowers my mpg. I have tried 40 psi all around. the ride is a bit more stiff but still, the car only gives me 15MPG .... 15!! on highway.

Accord LX 2.4L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 163 miles

LOUSY GAS MILEAGE! Filled up the car 4 times since purchace. 15.56, 20.96, 20.40, 16.65 mpg. (Overall 17.91) The nearly 21mpg was highway driving. I am told by Honda it's because of the heat and humidity. Still remains to be seen what a cooler fall season brings, however three months before bought a Civic which is averaging just over 30mpg. At it's worst in stop and go traffic, the Civic was still over 23. Same heat and humidity. Expected at least as much with the Accord. Seeing what I am reading on line this seems to be the norm and clearly FRAUDULENT marketing by Honda. This car will NEVER get never the listed highway range, per the sticker, between 28 and 40 or the expected city miles up to 27.

Accord EX-L 4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,435 miles

Gas mileage running 17-24 MPG city & highway. Not even close to rated city/hwy 23/34 MPG. Even though new, I expected higher. Only salvation may be longer break-in period than previous cars.

Accord EX-L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 7 miles

My brand new 2011 4 cylinder Honda Accord is getting 15 to 16 miles per gallon, mostly city driving. I drive very conservatively. My 1996 Nissan Maxima 6 cylinder gets 19 in the city. I bought this car to conservce gas. it is supposed to get 23 in the city.

Numerous other complaints, but this is costing me money. Will NEVER buy another Honda! Going to fix my Maxima, sell this piece of crap & take my losses. My Maxima does so many things so much better after 15 years than the Honda does after3 months, including easier starting, other features too numerous to describe. No time to deal with a problem vehicle - that's why I bought an Accord. BIG, HUGE, TREMENDOUS MISTAKE!
