Oil was over 2 quarts low, dash was at 50% (5000 miles since last oil change). I bought Honda because I had a Toyota with oil consumption problems, another mistake I guess. I have a Dodge with over 170k on it does not burn a drop between changes.

Its quite clear the VCM issue persists with the 2012 v6 as well.

I've taken my car to a local Honda Dealership, they ran one oil consumption test. Oil was topped off and mileage was 90,388. I checked it at 90,624, dipstick showed oil level halfway between two marks on dipstick. I seem to be using more than 1 quart of oil in 1,000 miles. Dealership keeps telling me they need to run more tests. I'm no rocket scientist, but I do have sense enough to know there's a problem!
