Accord LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 23,000 miles

I drove over a railroad crossing at about 15 mph, with a little bit of swaying, but not much. My low tire indicator light came on, flashing at first then going solid. My anti-locking brakes light came on then lastly the EPS light came on and stayed on. My display showed a Fatal Crash System Failure. I got out and checked the tires for visible deflation and found none. I drove to a parking lot and shut it off then turned it back on. Same thing. I came home and tried shutting it off then back on again and the same thing again.

I have to take the vehicle to the dealer tomorrow morning and hopefully I will get there safely. They plan to run the codes but don't have any idea what is wrong as of yet. They thought maybe a wire came loose but not really sure. Regardless, it's my only source of transportation and I'm self employed.

This has happened once before, approximately a year ago, when my dash just lit up with warnings. I had called the dealer then. They had no idea. After I shut it off and turned it back on again, all the warnings went away.

Accord EX-L Coupe V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,001 miles

Own 2013 Accord EX-L V6 Navi and have experienced the worst car problem similar to others stated here. Coming back in the highway from my appointments at the VA Hospital my Accord started to hesitate with acceleration. Immediately all warning lights came on, in the middle display the FCW System Failure message kept scrolling. I was forced to pull over and turned car off. After some time everything was back to normal as I was able to get home that day.

Today Sept. 3, 2014 driving on Main Street when the same system failure occurred but this time turning the car off didn't fix the problem. I'll contact the dealer tomorrow because it's after hours today. This is very dangerous for it can cause an accident and, at least in my case, I travel on a weekly basis to the VA hospital and I'm afraid sooner or later I will miss my appointments. I hope HONDA has a fix for this or a recall in the works because it is obvious this problem isn't random.

Accord EX L 4 cyl

FCW has not worked since day one. Returned to dealer a few days later, they were unable to repair. On 7/8/13 reported to American Honda was advised to return to dealer, advised this had already been done. On 7/17/13 American Honda called back and advised to call servjce manager "Ed". Could not contact Ed after three attempts. Was advised to leave a message, which I did asking him to call me. As of 7/24/13 this has not happened.

Have owned 5 Honda cars, as well as Motorcycles, Lawn Mowers, Snow Blowers and ATV. Loved them all until now. All have been very reliable, and practically trouble free. I am very disappointed at this time, What has happened to the Honda???
