This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
I've had my car for almost two years and recently noticed that my ignition key gets extremely hot after driving. It can be a 5 minute drive or much longer and the key is scalding hot when taken out of the ignition. I am taking the car in to the dealership to get checked out. It seems like there must be some sort of bad high-current connection in the ignition that is heating up the switch which is heating up the key. Hopefully, they will install a new ignition switch assembly.
Has anyone experienced this? What was the fix? Did they try to tell you it was "normal" for the key to get so hot?

Hi,
Whenever I put my keys in the ignition and take them out after a while they get hot. I took my car to the Honda dealer and they said that the car was fine after the service, so i took my car back home and I took my keys out and touched them and they were very hot once again, so I called the Honda dealer again and they said it was because the car was new system, design and computer chips , but i don't think this is normal for a new car. I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem 2013 ?
Thanks
