Accord LX 2.4L

  • Manual transmission
  • 70,000 miles

Repeated battery failure, and it turned out the alternator was not charging the battery. Honda and Toyota cars I had in the 70's through 90's had alternators go over 100k miles.

Accord EX-L 2.4L

  • CVT transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Word of caution to those replacing their battery. I had the local leading Auto Parts store replace my battery and when I went out to crank it up, I had nothing. No power anywhere. It appears that the backup power source that they hook up to your code reader connector fried my MIU and I ended up having to tow the car to my dealer who after 4 hours of searching for the issue along with Honda engineers on the phone they found that my MIU unit had been fried during the replacement process. So you may want to just let then leave off the backup power source while replacing your battery and I would suggest using Honda batteries which are just a cost effective than the after market ones and you have a Honda guy installing it.
