I parked my car in my driveway with the windows closed, sun roof closed and car locked. It is always closed this way. There were heavy rainstorms and lightning overnight. I came out at 6:30 the following morning and both windows were completely rolled down , the sun roof was open and the trunk was popped. In addition, the rim lights around the speedometer were flashing. There was a lot of water in the car. Later in the day, the panic horn went off with no one around. The next day, the car started easily and all lights seemed to be working as was the stereo sound system. Both remote keys still start the car. So far, my Honda dealer has had the car for inspection So far there is no explanation as to what triggered the multiple malfunctions. Anyone had similar problems?

Initially, this message began being displayed only after 45-60 minutes of driving, always with electrical accessories like a seat heater and rear window defroster running. I figured that might be reasonable. Now it often comes on after only a few minutes.
When it first began, I had the battery and charging system checked by an independent garage I trust - nothing found. The dealer has been unable to check it because his diagnostic hardware is not in service.
Update from Apr 7, 2016: The message displayed across the speedometer is Check Charge System.

Purchased vehicle on Sat., Mar 16, 2013 and by the time I left the dealer the navigation and stereo were not working, the lights on dash were blinking. Since the dealer takes so long to complete deals it was closing time and I was now stuck with the vehicle in a non working condition until I could reach someone. I called and emailed the sales representative, sales manager and service department. My car was not taken in right away on Monday, they gave me an appointment for the following Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
My car was there for a week with things being guessed on and nothing was fixed. Brought the car in a second time, they changed the Nav unit and the problem still exist. Brought vehicle in they said they made other changes and the problem still exist. this has continued for 2+ years, they problem goes on and off and since it does the service department cannot figure it out. There is an open ticket with Honda headquarters and no answer yet. when it happens, the lights on the dash keep going on and off and then the vehicle stops working shuts off. Sometimes only the smart key ignition light goes on, other times the tire pressure light goes on with it and other times the entire dash blinks on and off making a clicking noise at which point the vehicle stops. Sometime the vehicle will turn on within a few minutes other times, such as my most recent experience, Sunday, September 20, 2015 it takes hours at which time i had to call a tow truck.
I want it fix, as it is dangerous to be in this situation especially with my 2 year old daughter.
Unfortunately, many rentals later, many service visits and many days stuck and no fix yet.

As described by others: Recently had to deal with ABS/VSA issues on my 2013 Honda Accord Sport. To troubleshoot and get it fixed was a nightmare, to say the least, and the two local mechanics I went to had no clue how to fix it and kept pushing bogus/unrelated costly repairs. Come to find out that this is a known common issue for 9th Gen Honda Accords (+1,000 complaints to NHTSA)
