While driving, the steering wheel jerks to the left. There is a constant pressure of the wheel turning left. This puts me and others in danger. There have been other experiences from other people on different forums that have experienced this. Warning lamp did come on for electric steering but turned off a few days later.

Very common problem it appears as there are several forum post from other accord owners 2013 and above that have all reported dash lights up with traction control, tire pressure, power steering, ABS and some instances Brake will illuminate on the dash board, and some have reported a combination of these lights or all of them. The culprit is a broken solder on the ABS module from my understanding and its something Honda is aware of but have not recalled. The part itself costs $1500, just for the part and does not include labor. This is a common issue that should be taken care of by honda as its a huge safety issue with the ABS, Traction control, power steering, tire pressure monitoring and brake not working when needed in an emergency situation. This is a huge safety risk that needs to be addressed. It also affects the value of the vehicle if not repaired.

The contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the vehicle was pulling to the left. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that another vehicle was approaching close by on the right and the contact attempted to steer over to the left. The vehicle was extremely close to the highway grooves and the steering wheel seized to the left. The contact who is an independent mechanic, diagnosed the vehicle with power steering failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The dealer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.

Traction Control/ABS/Brake lights turn on 122-11 VSA Solenoid Valve Malfunction and 83-11 which causes pcm malfunction. This is a known problem with Honda vehicles and should be a recall. When this error occurs traction/abs/brake, LDW fcw are disabled. The fix for this is over $1000.

I am reporting a critical safety issue with the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) modulator in my 2013 Honda Accord Ex. The VSA modulator has failed, causing significant safety concerns, including erratic braking behavior, a complete loss of anti-lock braking (ABS) functionality, and compromised stability control. Only after avoiding near collision while driving on I5 freeway the failure illuminated various dashboard warning lights, such as the ABS light, VSA light, and brake system warning light. This failure has placed me, my passengers, and other road users at risk, especially with the stop and go traffic of rush hour. Luckily it was sunny clear weather because if there was even slight wet or slippery conditions I'm certain the harm would have been disastrous. -Known Technical Causes: Failure of internal solenoids or valves in the VSA modulator unit. Corrosion or damage to electronic components within the modulator. Malfunctioning sensors associated with the ABS and stability systems. -Repair Details: Replacement of the VSA modulator unit is often necessary. Cost of repair typically ranges between $2,000 and $3,000. Many owners report delays in repairs due to part availability. -Reports and Complaints: Numerous complaints can be found on forums, owner groups, and repair sites detailing identical failures in 2013-?"2017 Honda Accords. Commonly reported safety risks include increased stopping distances and difficulty maintaining control on slippery roads. Honda-??s Response: Some owners report that Honda dealerships acknowledge the issue but do not offer repairs under warranty unless an extended warranty is in place. There is an already a recall for the VSA modulators for 2022 Accords. I believe this should be extended to their earlier models with the same issues.

2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6 2 Separate Malfunctions Loss of all Power Steering Faulty VSA Module effecting Dashboard Indicators Broken VSA (Vehicle Stability Assistance) Module causes the ABS, FCW, LDW VSA, Steering, and Tire Gauge Warnings to light up solid. Causing the driver to be unaware if anything is wrong with the vehicle. Also leaving the car without working safety features promised by Honda such as the (FCW) Forward Collision Warning and (LDW) Lane Departure Warning Due to the Faulty VSA Module I did not receive a warning at my loss of power steering. I was able to maneuver myself off the main road and take it to a local mechanic who after scanning and checking was confused and suggested that it would most likely need an entire steering rack replacement. Still haven't gone to an Official Honda Dealership. I did not receive any warning from the vehicle when my power steering went out. Due to the faulty VSA module affecting the lights on my dashboard that included the one that would indicate faulty Power Steering. This is the first year of the model to incorporate ESA. NHSTA has had a open investigation into the faulty Power Steering but was eventually closed due to lack of reports. Many people have been reporting similar issues with this model and it has caused accidents and allegedly some deaths. At this current time there is no safety recall by Honda to fix either the Broken VSA Module or more importantly the Power Steering. VSA Modules have been recalled and replaced by Honda in different countries but not in the United States. The Faulty VSA Module puts drivers at risk by leaving the driver unaware of any potential issues with their vehicle until the problem already happens and leaves mechanics confused as to what the issue actually is. I implore NHTSA to take action against this very dangerous issue with both the loss of Power Steering and the VSA module with this year and model of Honda.

hello I'm wondering why this is not a concern for a safety recall. VSA Module. the VSA module systems seems to be a problem from 2012 all the way to 2017 model Hondas. this module effects powersteering. ABS. tire pressure and traction control. it seems that this is a global problem and their are countrys that have done a recall on this VSA Module. on Honda accord sedans.

In 2022 while driving, my steering wheel became very difficult to turn. It felt as if the power steering quit altogether. All of the safety lights came on at once (brake, anti-skid, steering, etc.). After stopping, it was very difficult to turn the wheel. Not only was it frightening but I would not have been able to swerve or turn suddenly if needed. The Honda dealership believed at first it was a sensor, which was replaced. The problem quickly returned. This time the dealership replaced the entire steering rack. Two years later, the problem appears to be returning. All safety/warning lights have come on and there are moments when steering "stiffens up" but so far it has not completely gone out.

Steering is sticky and difficult to turn sometimes. Sometimes the steering loosens up very quickly resulting in a very fast turn, making it very dangerous. On a regular turn, the steering wheel almost jitters, providing uneven No codes or warnings have shown up. Honda wants $4000 to replace the entire eps rack but have not stated a definitive issue with it. This all started out of nowhere, I was driving in a neighborhood and the steering went haywire.

When we drive the car, there is a problem with the power steering that causes the steering wheel to over-steer, which makes the car jerk to one side or the other without warning, which makes the car veer into other lanes. We took the car to the auto shop, the mechanic told us that when the car is up on the lift and they start the car, the wheels turn by themselves, which shouldn't happen.

There is something wrong with the electric power steering. Every time I drive my steering wheel pulls to the left so if I let go of the steering wheel the steering wheel will pull to the left and could potentially cause a car crash and while driving and difficulty steering (either steering feeling too firm or too loose). This is happening without the electric power steering warning light being illuminated. I do not feel safe.

When overtaking a car on a one lane highway, the engine suddenly started to sputter and the steering felt unstable, and a few seconds later, four engine lights turned on (Malfunction Indicator Lamp, Vehicle Stability Assist System Indicator, Electric Power Steering System Indicator, Low Tire Pressure/TPMS Indicator). I was able to drive the car to an auto shop, where their mechanics did a diagnosis and found codes P0087, 83-11, 61-11, 85-01. While cycling through the codes all lights turned off, so they advised that I could continue to drive the car as is. A few weeks later, the same problem happened when I was driving on the highway. This time, I could not push the car past 2500 RPM, rendering the car unable to exceed 55mph on the highway. I was able to drive the car to a Honda dealership. They diagnosed P0087 and P0088 codes, and followed the TSB recommendation to replace the high pressure fuel pump. After paying the hefty replacement fee and getting the new part, the car works as expected. Q1: High pressure fuel pump failed, Honda dealership did repair so they would have the old part if not already disposed. Q2: In first instance, car became unstable at high speeds. In second instance, had to drive two hours back to dealership near me on a highway going 20mph under speed limit. Also had to pull over on a narrow shoulder. Q3: Technicians reproduced problem when holding vehicle at 3000rpm. Found code P0087 and S/B 14-039 for that code, which recommended replacing the high pressure fuel pump. Q4: Component inspected by Honda dealership. Q5: Specific warning lamps and codes listed above.

The contact owns a 2013 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving approximately 50 MPH and slowing to exit the highway, the steering wheel was turned to the right and seized. The contact pulled over and stopped the vehicle. The vehicle was turned off and restarted several times however, the power steering feature was inoperable. The vehicle was towed to a dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the EPS torque sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact researched online and related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 15-056 EPS Torque Sensor (Steering). The contact had spoken to the dealer and to the manufacturer but was informed that the vehicle was no longer covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 115,008.
