There was also a battery sensor recall, I took an appointment at an authorized Honda dealer for the same thing along with doing routine maintenance. After the battery sensor recall & maintenance done, I see 2 major issues coming very frequently:

1. Backup Camera was not working at all & it is showing Black screen during the reverse gear & 2. Passenger Airbag light glows intermittently , which was not the case before.

I reported the problem the very next day to the Honda of Lisle technician & exchanged a couple of emails with no proper response, I have sent a couple of reminders but not getting any response. Please do let me know, what should I do to get this resolved asap.

It is really frustrating to drive a new car with these issues.....

I went to Waikem Honda on Lincolnway in Massillon, OH to get battery changed in key fob - my car was having issues starting. Parts suggested talking to service. There was also a battery sensor recall - they said if I returned in 45 minutes they could fix it. They stated they didn't think related to car not starting at times. I left went to Marc's and returned to get it fixed. After they fixed it she came out and said 'did you know your "back up camera" wasn't working?' I said it was this am and it was working when I just left. I went to leave and my car would not start - they wanted $51 to diagnose - I said NO - the shop foreman came over and said it was my "starter". He has seen this issue many times and replaces at least 10-15 a month. I responded very said for a 2014. His response went on about how all the parts are from different countries and not a true HONDA made car. Anyway - that did not explain why my back up camera was black with orange lines. It WORKED that day and I am getting the starter replaced - my car did eventually start it just decides when it wants to! I am very upset about my back up camera not working - they didn't seem to care. Also my dash lights stayed on after my car was off - which it never did. I believe something he did or with the battery sensor messed up my BACK UP CAMERA!!!!! I WANT IT FIXED!

Accord LX V6

  • Automatic transmission

The rear camera in our car stopped working. We are being told that the entire unit (radio, GPS, Blue Tooth, the whole works) needs to be replaced. Since the diagnostic service the display shows a diagnostic screen that our dealership cannot get rid of without a total replacement. Now, nothing works. It took two full days to get to the diagnostic stage which required the dealership getting a DVD from Honda, as opposed to a USB key. The dealership tells us that they are arguing with Honda at this point. The dealership says that Honda claims that this is not a warranted item.

Almost a brand new car and have to deal with issues like backup camera not working. The screen just turns black when you shift into reverse, or sometimes you can see the guiding lines, sometimes the screen stays the same. This should be a recall, I found plenty of people having the same issue.
