I got a letter in Aug 2017 about a "important safety recall" and since then the coggin Honda dealership of orlando has given me nothing but the run around. They answer my calls and say someone will get back to me, but that never happens tried to reach the manager twice but he could not be reach the salesperson no longer there. If my Honda has an important safety recall I am being led to believe this dealership could care less. We bought a Honda because we felt it was a trusted name and imagine we will not go very far or use it much until the safety issue resolved. Please help us with this problem or least guide us in what to do next.

There has been numerous complaints in regards to the starter having a "grinding", "static-like", or "whining" sound and it has seemingly affected my car as well. For example, when I am preparing to leave for my destination, do a basic press of the starter button, and I will hear that grinding and whining sound... on occasion, it will take a number of tries to get the car started. This has been happening on the regular. There is a Honda technical bulletin (dated February 5, 2016) number 16-002 in regards to the starter and also a pending class action lawsuit (merkin V. Honda North american Inc., american Honda motor co., Honda motor company ltd.) I cannot pinpoint an exact date on when this started (I gave you my best answer), but it has been going on for several months and I fear if it continues, it could hurt my car in the long run or I could possibly be stranded if I go on a long journey somewhere

The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V418000 (electrical system). The part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. When starting the vehicle, the battery had to be charged before the vehicle would start. The driver's side fog light also suddenly failed. While driving approximately 80 mph, the contact noticed a burning odor inside the vehicle. The contact parked and turned off the vehicle. When attempting to restart the vehicle, it failed to start. The contact had the vehicle towed to bozman Honda (located at 8450 huffine lane, bozeman, mt, 59718; 406-587-0761) and informed the contact that the part for the remedy was not available. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 40,974. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

The battery dies intermittently for no reason. I had them temporary fix done in July of 2017. I didn't have any problems with the battery until this week. I have had the battery die twice this week. The car starts fine some days and others it won't. I called Honda and they told me the recall had nothing to do with the battery staying charged.

Went to start car. Would not start on first try. Tried again and put car in reverse to back out of garage. Put car in park and noticed the dashboard lit up like a christmas tree. Fcw failed, ldw, air bag, check engine, power steering ABS & tire pressure warning lights all came on! turned car off & started calling to make appt with dealership. The dealer we bought car from had a response of "next available appt is Tuesday". when I tried to tell her what was wrong she repeated "next available appt is Tuesday" click. Okay, since I paid for a 7 year extended warranty I called a different dealer. Millennium Honda had an appt for 1:00pm. I immediately brought it in. Waited for over 4 hours before asking about my car. "oh, we haven't gotten to your car yet. But it should be going on the lift pretty soon." It was after 5:00pm when I was informed that they wouldn't be able to get to my car on Thursday. I asked for a loaner car & decided that it was better that it be seen first thing next morning. Friday morning comes & goes & I don't hear from them so I drive over there. They hadn't even put my car on the lift to check it yet! when asked why I was told I was next. Okay, they put my car on the lift & check it out; take it for a test drive; bring it back. Service manager "russ" comes over to me and says that the car isn't going anywhere. There was a problem with the engine harness system. He tells me that it's due to corrosion. I ask how long will it take to fix" he then tells me that the engine harness is not covered under my extended warranty. Are you kidding me???? he then says that it would cost $2800 to fix & they have to order the part! I feel as though my car is being held for ransom. This car has only 12K miles & is only a little over 3 years old. My car is involved in a battery sensor recall. Could that be the problem or is it common practice to price gouge"

Body: The tension bar does not open the car trunk lid all the way which more often drops down and hit the person's head or face who is putting stuffs in the trunk assuming it is fully open all the way. I did got hit twice by the corner and edge of the trunk lid on the forehead and left temple. The latter caused bruise and pain that took me a week to recover. Should change weak tension bar to strong gas tube operation. Engine: The car vibrates and rattles upon putting on reverse gear even after at least a minute warmup in the morning. The dealer said it is normal for this type of car? this is very embarrassing for a newer car. I never see this in a Toyota cars that I owned: Sienna, avalon... seats: Driver seat is not well designed and causing awkward and uncomfortable and fatigue position while driving. There is insufficiency of support for lumbar are ( the current one is too soft and sitting back so there is virtually no support at all). Again Toyota cars seem not having this kind of problem. Also, the driver window is not tall enough that even a 5'6" person can bang his head to the top of the window when getting up and out of the drive seat. It should be 2" taller to avoid this problem. They should put cushion to the top edge and safety grip handle at the minimum. Driving condition: The car seems to wander when running on freeway at normal speed.

Vehicle won't start on random occasions.I drive the vehicle daily, but every so often I have to jumpstart it. I had the battery checked at the service station near my home and also at the Honda dealer in my city. I purchased a small jump pack to ensure I'm never stranded. This has happened numerous times, after only being away from the vehicle an hour or 2 and after I returned form a brief stay out of town.

My car has been to Honda twice for the same problem. The first incident was June 20th at 5pm at whole foods in phoenix. The car would turn over then die. The next morning I took it to Honda (it started and drove). I picked it up at 5pm, they stated they could find nothing wrong with the car. As I'm sitting in the car at Honda the car died and wouldn't start. The next day they told me it was the starter and replaced it and I picked up the car Friday June 23rd. The car was fine until Sunday around 3pm at safeway on phoenix where the car would start and then die. I took an uber home and scheduled a tow. When I got back to safeway the car started and I drove it home. Monday morning June 26 I took it to my local mechanic who diagnosed the fuel pump to be bad after two days. I towed it back to Honda on June 28th to have the fuel pump changed under warranty. They had to order the part and I did not get my car back until July 8th. On my way to work Tuesday July 11th the car died while on the freeway interchange between I10W and I17N and was forced to the side of the rode (there's barely a shoulder) and wait for a tow as the car would no start. I was towed to showcase Honda where the car is now. This last incident was more than just an inconvenience it was completely unsafe. This is the third time they have had the car and I have almost no confidence they are capable of figuring out what is wrong with this car (that's under warranty) and I honestly don't feel safe driving that car any longer.

Initial problem with push button start - would not start on first push. Started at about 55K mileage. Problem has worsened - may start on first push, but sometimes takes many pushes in combination with brake release and depressing or just pushing without touching the brake - then braking and pushing. Very intermittent in terms of how many pushes - sometimes just a couple, sometime 10 or more! now at just under 60K mileage, car cannot be trusted. Error codes come up as 85-01 vsa system malfunction and 61-11 vsa modulator control unit power source circuit (ic) low voltage and B-1240 - a problem in the mode control linkage door or motor. These error codes do not seem related to the push button start issue, but is another problem to investigate and fix. The push button problem happens to many people and Honda is aware of it. My mechanic called his inside contact at the local dealer and they keep starters on hand for this. They will not handle as a warranty or 'recall' type problem and one has to pay a lot for the fix - starter replacement can be close to $1K!! another Honda contact knows of this issue - it is because the starter on the Accord, especially the 2.4L engine, is mounted below the exhaust manifold, heats up significantly and begins to fail - depends more on the # of starts than mileage, apparently. My Accord is started many times per day. This issue should be fixed under a recall event, I believe, but I must get mine fixed now!!! not good! also a problem from day 1, is the forward warning camera gets hot, here in southern cal, and will not work until the ac system cools it down. Very unsafe and worthy of further review as well.

Experiencing an intermittent problem when starting the car sometimes you turn the key and it will not start so far it has started but one time it was several minutes before it would start concern that this could be an issue that will leave me or a family member stranded-- the car is so new I don't think this should be a problem that we would have to deal with-- of course this just started happening after the warranty has run out
