While backing up slowly in a gas station, the car started to lose power and jerk as if about to stall. It did not fully stall though. The check engine light came on. It remained on for the afternoon (Sunday) and then went off in the evening. I took it in Monday morning to dealer and they said it had a "general timing issue" code but they said they could not pinpoint the issue after having the car all day and driving it for about 30 miles because it didn't happen again. I am upset that this is now the second time this happened and no explanation. Am I just supposed to wait until it happens again and the warranty expires? What if it dies on the road -- I am in Arizona and being stranded in 115 degree sun can be fatal and now I don't know if I can trust my car and nothing is being done.

complete electrical failure
I was stopped at a light today and began to accelerate when my car's electrical system completely shut down and the car died. There was nothing active - no emergency flashers, etc. Had I been in traffic, making a turn or accelerating onto a highway, I cannot imagine what would have happened. It took several seconds for the electrical system to reset itself so that I could push the start button and get the engine started back up.

Driving the car at medium-slow speed into a parking lot and the car lost power and stalled. It was a hot day but they may or may not be relevant. Concerning if this had happened on the freeway. A similar thing happened again later and will post another complaint for that incident.
