I wasn't worried about it when it first occurred; I thought it was just a fluke, but it has started to worry me.

I bought in Feb-2014, Honda accord EXL, I asked many people around they mentioned that Honda is a reliable car for lower maintenance cost and longer run. I was fan of Honda until my total transmission failure, after buying my car, I bought one more Honda for my Dad and my sister, On 12/31/22 I was driving and I stopped at signal, and then car won't move, so I turned off and re-started again, the next thing I know from Honda service center is $5,500 cost of transmission replacement (they offered me re-build transmission/ not a new). the issue was, Car would turn ON but it won't move in any gear, not even R (reverse gear).
So I took it to local well reputed transmission shop (AAMCO) - they said the same thing and it cost me around $5,800 to replace it.
I shopped around at 3-4 different place, they all mentioned that Honda with CVT transmission has this issue, the way Honda has built it, that you can't fix the problem easily for $1000-2000. I was hoping for no major expense on the car for at least up to 180K-200K miles, I was in Love with Honda but I won't be Honda customer anymore and neither I would recommended anyone to buy piece of sh*t CVT cars. I was saving money for down-payment as my family is growing and I need bigger car so that I can pre-buy Electric-Honda but I am afraid that I might not go with Honda after having this major repair cost/issue.
Even Honda knows this issue, but it happens after 100,000 miles so they are covered and they don't have to re-call the vehicle but it's very painful as a customer. Very sad that my down-payment for new car is gone to repair the old car. Thank you Honda for treating customer fairly.
