This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
I purchased my 2014 Honda Accord brand new in March 2014 now the transmission has to be replaced. I was the transmission had an internal failure and the transmission has to be replaced.current miles 11,900.

I first took my car in to have them check were there sound was coming from and was advice that is normal and that due to the new engine. This was the same place I got the car from ( Winter Haven Honda ) I asked that this still be looked at & after it was checked out my transmission needed to be replaced. I asked at 12000mil and this is my 2nd Honda that I got from there, why do I have this problem yet again with my 2nd car......OMG ....WTF people....

Truly awful transmission design. Another buddy of mine is having similar transmission issues of rough downshifts, lots of noise, and a car that is no fun to drive. It sounds like the belt is spinning so fast but not engaging at certain increments. The dealer wanted a huge load of money to replace various components and do a needed "transmission flush".
Everyone that knows something about transmissions knows that a flush is never a good idea. Components can be hurt and that leaves the car less operable than its situation before. This car has been nothing but problems once the warranty expired. Stay away from it with an 18 foot pole... I hope it gets the clunker rating as time goes on. The CVT was such a bad design, plus the seats in this car are unbearable.
So many problems... I'm getting rid of it in lieu of a much better car that will actually last me over 150,000 miles without problems. I should have stuck with my love for Toyotas in the first place.
