problem #1

Jun 202017

Accord Sport 2.4L

  • CVT transmission
  • 20,481 miles

This problem manifested as excessive road noise (like very noisy snow tires with rumbling at highway speeds). Bridgestone factory tires showed some cupping - with less than 20,000 km on them (tires were rotated every 10,000 km & were switched out for winter tires). Honda recommended a 4-wheel alignment and replacing all tires, which I did (with Yokohama). This resulted in a significant improvement.

Two years later (now @ 70,000 km), the problem has resurfaced, despite yearly alignments and tire rotations. I visited the dealership again, who told me to call Honda directly. Honda in turn said it was a dealership issue. Very frustrating! New tires every 2 years or 35,000 km is not much of a solution!
