My wife and I bought this car new from the dealership and until this past December we never had any problems or complaints. On Dec 2, 2017, we were at a Christmas parade with the car turned off. When the parade was over 2 hrs later, the car would not start and we had to get a jump from a helpful citizen. We've never had any problems since, until today, 5/11/2018. I took the car to the car wash to clean it out. I turned the car off for maybe 5 minutes while I vacuumed the carpets and removed any trash. Once I was done,I started the car and pulled up to the car washing stall to give it a quick spray off. Turned the car off as normal, went to insert money but the bill insert was not working, so I tried moving to another stall. The car would not start, just clicked at me with all other electronics working as normal. This happened at 4:00 AM! I had to call a friend at work to come jump my car off.
We plan on going on vacation in 3 weeks, so now we have to buy a new battery to be safe. 3 yrs is an awfully short battery life with the technology we have nowadays.

Car purchased brand new off the lot in May 2015. At 48,000 miles the battery "died". I took it to the dealer who said nothing about the issue. They just installed a brand new Honda battery and charged me $100. I also had the 50,000 recommended maintenance performed that day, so I lost track of the battery on the receipt, totalling $885.

I feel a batter on a new car should last more than 2 years and 39K miles. The dealer said they tested it and it came back low so they tested it later and it failed. I've had Honda's my whole driving life and never have I needed a battery this fast!

This is the 3rd battery I've had replaced in my 2015 Honda Accord. Honda reliability has taken a nose dive.
My family has been loyal Honda buyers. We've had 4 in 20 years. With all the recalls, I can't see investing any more time and money in a Honda.
