Replacing Bridgestone tires because of rear tire cupping causing excessive road noise. Your blog indicates many others have the same problem. Will my new tires start cupping? Sounds like rotating tires will just ruin all 4 at the same time. Can Honda come up with a fix? Really like the car but disappointed with the loud road noise and the expense of replacing the tires.
Took the car to Honda and was told that the tires were cupping and the noise would increase. The tires would have to be replaced. No suggested fix for the cupping problem.

Tires that came from factory on the Accord Sport were loud. I had 4 wheel alignment done, balanced, rotated at my cost, which made no difference in the noise level and harsh handling.
I purchased a new set of touring tires at Discount Tire and this made a huge improvement.

2015 Honda Accord Sport. I bought the car new in 2015 and during 2017 the car was exhibiting extremely load road noise and I thought that I might have had bearing or transmission issue.
After taking to dealer they recommend replacing the tires in 2017 at only 30,000 miles due to severe cupping occurring at inner tread. Since I always had the tires rotated at recommended intervals by Honda I was skeptical that there was not some other underlying issue and expressed this to the dealer, however I had the tires replaced as recommended by the dealer in June of 2017 at a cost of around $800. The dealer then suggested that I needed to rotate tires at every oil change and check alignment often after replacing with new tires in 2017.
Now at 57,000 miles in 2019 I’m again experiencing the same problem. The dealer performed diagnostic (cost me $100) and said again that load noise is due to tire cupping. Dealer suggested this was a tire manufacturer issue, but I told them I would research this since I also replaced the tires in 2017 with same model tires that was originally on vehicle when new, additionally all service has been performed at this particular Honda dealer and I’ve followed their recommendations with respect to frequency of tire rotation/alignment.
As it turns out, I’m not the only one from my area that has experienced this problem. Honda has a problem.
