Purchased a Honda Accord Touring Hybrid at the end of May, 2017. Advertised gas mileage 49 highway/47 city. I initially obtained 44 highway/40 city. By September and at approximately 2500 miles, it dropped to 40 highway/36 city. By December, at only 4800 miles, it has dropped to 31.6 highway/32.5 city. It appears to have dropped significantly as the outdoor temperature dropped. It is currently 15 degrees. I have not seen this relationship between outside temperature and gas mileage with a hybrid engine mentioned on the internet. The service department described this as "entirely normal", supposedly due to changes is gas formulation to winter blends by the petroleum companies.
I believe there were complaints, and a class action suit, related to similar problems with achieving anywhere close to the advertised mileage with Honda Hybrid, but I thought that the problems had been resolved.
It is a very comfortable car. But the gas mileage is fraudulent. Buyer beware!
