Driving my 2018 Honda Accord 80 mph on a very hot, humid day and the Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem - See Your Dealer light come on. My previous 2003 Honda Accord with 257,000 miles did not have the issues I'm having with this brand new car. It is very sensitive so I've had it in the shop multiple times already. This latest one concerns me because of the "brake" reference. Is it safe to drive? Can I get a call back from the service department at the dealership? NO!!
What has happened to the quality and reliability of the Honda Accord? Anyone else having this issue?

I have owned a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0L EX-L for about six months, and have just over 5k on the odometer. This morning while commuting to work I had the ACC (active cruise control) on and was traveling approx. 40 MPH when the vehicle ahead of me started braking/stopping. Normally the ACC would begin braking my Accord but it did not, and I was forced to manually apply hard braking at the last moment to avoid colliding with the vehicle ahead of me. I looked down and saw an error message on the left side of my instrument cluster "Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem. See Your Dealer". This also disabled my ACC such that it could not be reactivated until I pulled the car over to the side of the road and shut it down & restarted it, which reset the error message and enabled me to reactivate ACC. The weather at the time was clear and 62 deg. F, and the car was clean with no dirt or obstructions on the front radar unit nor windshield. This is a SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD and can easily cause an accident! I purchased this car in large part due to the supposedly advanced Honda Sensing safety features as well as the brand's reputation for quality, but will not use ACC anymore unless/until this serious issue is resolved. I am one unhappy Honda owner.

Error messages included:Anti-Lock Brake System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Electric Parking Brake System Problem, Brake System Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist System Problem. My car worked perfectly fine during the morning 7 mile commute to work. At lunchtime, 4 hours later, upon attempting to start the car, all of these error messages popped up. I wasn't able to start the car or lock it afterwards. These messages would not stop appearing, so by the time the flatbed arrived to haul it to the dealer, the battery was dead too!
Update from Oct 11, 2018: The cause was a bad cell within the battery which decreased the voltage to the electronic braking systems causing error messages to be displayed.

We just picked up the Accord last week with wind noise problem last week. I post that problem. THIS IS A NEW CAR, A NEW CAR! we should not problems. I really suspect poor quality control measures by HONDA with a new model release.
Update from Feb 6, 2018: Honda suggested the problem with a low battery resulted in communication errors. Caused by code U128D, U1281. Communication several units. Battery failed load test.

I have a 2018 Honda Accord. My brake system code popped up last month. Took to dealership, he said it was nothing wrong, my cameras were dirty. Today I got in the car for work and it wouldn't start. Brake pedal went all the way to the floor and brake system light came on again. When I'm driving, the brake light comes on when nothing is in front of me. It slammed on brakes once before. This is too much where I don't even feel comfortable driving my car anymore.
