The contact pumped the accelerator pedal and the vehicle returned to normal operation. After the vehicle was parked and restarted, the vehicle resumed to normal. The contact stated that on another occasion while driving with his wife and a child occupant and attempting to make a left turn at an intersection, the failure recurred. The contact depressed the accelerator pedal several times and the vehicle responded as needed. The contact stated that the check engine, ABS, and TPMS warning lights were illuminated. During normal driving - clear weather conditions - the car will suddenly activate the forward collision braking. It will literally slam on the brakes and decrease the speed by 10-15 MPH. This happened as I was going down the drive of our neighborhood, I was at 45 MPH with no one in front of me or behind me (thankfully) and the car applied the brakes and activated the front collision warning. There is also an intermittent issue with my seatbelt. Specifically the drivers seat belt. I was witness to someone driving my car - he buckled his seat belt and it unlatched. He then buckled it again thinking he didn-??t do it right - but it wouldn-??t latch. This has happened to me before as well - but usually after the third try of buckling the seat belt it will work and so I thought nothing of it. Additionally, the windshield wipers do not go back to their original position after being in use.

I keep intermittently getting a Supplemental Restraint System error. I have been on forums with other vehicle owners getting the same error. The dealer says it is a bad airbag while others are saying it could be two other less expensive remedies they have encountered such as a faulty cutoff indicator that gets overheated and the solders come loose as well as a faulty seatbelt buckle assembly. This is not a constant issue, it is intermittent and feel if the airbag was faulty it would be a constant error.

The contact stated that while driving without the lights activated, after driving for a short time, the emergency lights would illuminate. Issue did not appear until seat belt recall last year.

Honda issued a recall notice for repairing seat belts that fail on this vehicle, assuring customers the repair would be a quick one hour replacement. I learned from [XXX] at Findlay Honda in Las Vegas in April 2023 that this is an outright lie. Honda requires the repair facility to photograph the seat belt, submit the photos and IF it looks like it needs replacement, they will send out the parts. During this time, which can take 2 days according to Mr. [XXX], the car is forcefully sequestered and Honda will not provide a loaner car. As this renders the repair process a costly burden for the customer, Honda is assuring their customers remain at risk of death or severe injury due to failing seat belts they will not replace. When the car is switched on and started driving, randomly the yellow passenger airbag light on the center dashboard would start blinking. Blinks with a 5 second gap almost. And randomly after that happens, I get the are airbag light on my dash saying "suppliment system restraint problem. See your dealer". in order to reset this, I have to switch off the car, wait for a few minutes and start again. Sometimes this issue would come right away after starting the car, sometime not for days. Reading the code, it's gave the following code B00D5-14.
