I was on the freeway going about 75mph, when suddenly, my vehicle's cmbs system activated and slowed down speed to 20mph approx. Without having any vehicles in front or near me. Luckily, the driver behind me was not following close and was able to avoid a collision by switching lanes. I have taken my vehicle to the dealer twice, but no one can find or duplicate the problem. Moreover, a couple of weeks ago, when I was switching lanes, toward the right, the left warning light and beeping noise came on. So far, I have recorded nine incidents when the vehicle slowed down on its own, and four of those were on the freeway. I was forced to deactivated all "safety" sensors while I am driving to avoid anymore incidents or accidents.

While driving, car automatically applies brakes. Speed will slow all the way down, almost to a stop. Multiple warning lights dealing with brake system will randomly pop up, but also leave on their own just to reoccur later on. I just got this car a month ago with only 19, xxx miles.

On 3 different dates my 2019 Honda Accord sport had a power failure. I was going about 65 to 70 mph when each incident occurred. First time was around 12/12/2021.the engine or power shut off, RPM dropped all at once for about a minute then came back to life. The second time was 12/28/2020 on the same interstate 81fgoing about the same speed. This time I pulled off the interstate the car was still shut off. I restarted the car it drove ok and no more trouble that day. On 01/12/2020 it happened again on I 81 interstate and again it shut off or lost all power for about a minute then it recovered itself.this was a very bad situation as I was in 3 lanes of traffic with tractor trailers all around going 70 mph.I have reported this to miller Honda, three times. They took it in and tried to see if it would shut off on them.it did not at that time. Service manager could find nothing at that time. I have called Honda and registered a claim as I feel this new car with only 5,500 miles on it is not safe to drive.

The instrument panel cluster and radio on the vehicle go black while vehicle is in operation and then it restarts. The issue started in January 9, 2020 with 5,259 miles, the vehicle does this between 1200 to 1800 miles. The latest incident occurred on November 17, 2020 with 19,804 mile. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership five times to get the issue resolved. Dealership indicates that instrument cluster has been replaced and updates have been installed. I have been in contact with Honda corporation as well. I have included pictures of the instrument cluster and also a work order and what update they did to the car.

When I went to start my car after parking it in a parking lot, my car wouldn't start. The control panel was flashing on and off and stated that there was an issue with the brake system and to see my dealer. I had the car tolled to Honda. After inspecting the car, they told me there was a defective cell in the battery and they replaced the battery. I purchased my car brand new last year in 2019 yet this defective battery caused me to be stranded, which I don't expect to happen with an essentially new car.

I have tried contacting Honda and going to the dealership multiple times to get this taken care of but everything is perfect they say. Just yesterday the car hit the break on it's own when the car on the other side was clearly on the other lane the car made a horrible sudden stop that caused bruising to my neck and also my passenger got hurt with everything that flung from the backseat he said the tug was too much. We thought someone had hit me. This isn't the first time the car has done this I feel I get constant tire pops because of this car veers me off into a lane that isn't even there. I have witnesses that say I have a lemon car I always say no but this last incident was too much for me. Also the charger port not usb has not worked since day one another thing they said was working again nothing. I went back and they said I had no warranties. I have called Honda trying to get to the bottom of this and going to the dealer they said U signed so take care of it. At this point I am in the process of purchasing a new vehicle cash and I am not even 1% intersd in keeping this car. If I have to return voluntarily I will have to. I have been patient but it's absolutely ridiculous that I was put into this vehicle being a supposedly upgrade " from my 2017 Honda coupe V6. This car needs a recall on lane departure, sensors, electrical it is not a car I feel safe in. I do not trust to let it drive on it's own and for good reason. What am I paying for then " I would have crashed into a car by now if I trusted it. I have proof of the three tires I have had to get in the past theee months and I don't drive much at all 9K miles in a whole year. Pics on bottom show how the damage comes from the sides due to the car going straight then making sudden turns that hit curbs. The sensors seem to be getting worse instead of better.

Back in July 4, 2020, the digital part of my instrument panel, heads up display and my infotainment system crashed while I was driving. It took approximately 2 mins to come back on. Today, July 14,2020, the audio, phone and navigation on my instrument panel weren't showing up when I turned on my car. Also my voice assist doesn't work anymore as well as the navigation on my heads up display. I tried calling my dealership to set an appointment but the earliest time they can give me is on the 24th of July.

On the highway going 75mph the collision mitigation beeped and locked up the brakes dropping my speed below 50mph before letting off. There was a car in the lane to the right of me on a straight section of the highway but was not moving into my lane. Luckily there was no one behind me.

"collision mitigation braking system problem. See your dealer." Warning has appeared seven times in the 4,300 miles I have owned the car. When the system errors the emergency braking does not function, the adaptive cruise control does not function, and even the traditional cruise control will not set. Turning car off and one does reset the issue but it keeps appearing at random times when I drive the car. I have taken the car to dealer multiple times they tell me they cannot do anything unless the warning light is on when they have the vehicle. This issue has been going on since I purchased the car brand new in November 2019.

I purchased a brand new Honda Accord 2019 sport in black in March 2019. Within 3 months I noticed in may these white spots show up. I immediately had 3 detailers look at the spots and they said it has something to do with the paint job. I called Honda and started a claim, they told me to take the car to the dealership I purchased it from and have them to review it, they were rude and stated that it was my fault and that I had to put something acidic on it or it was acidic rain, or sap. I have not been under a tree nor put anything on my car to damage it, why would I want to do this to my own car, I brought up issues with the stereo system and the screen freezing and going black. They told me they would take my stereo out my car and put a refurbished system in my car that will have the upgrade already on the system and take mines and put it in someone else's car. Why is this happening and the car is only 1 year old. I found out the car was made the end of the year on a Friday, I had videos and that still was not good enough. Now I'm looking at getting a paint job on a one year old car. I'm so disappointed I really like my car and for all this to happen in a year I really hate I bought this car.

When starting the vehicle, the digital (lcd screen) half of the gauge cluster may blank. As the tachometer in this vehicle is digital, the driver is unable to determine the RPM of the engine when stationary or in motion. When this problem surfaces, not even restarting the vehicle fixes the digital display. I have had 3 dealer appointments to fix this issue now. They have swapped out the gauge cluster and the problem persists. Additionally, I have identified other users via internet forums who have exchanged photos and videos with me of their vehicles exhibiting the same symptoms. Because the problem was not fixed with new hardware, and many other users experience it, I suspect it may be a software issue.

On 11/22, when my car was in accessory mode, the stereo system was flickering and the warning sign saying that there is a problem with my brake system appeared on the dash board. I also noticed my break pedal was pulsating. I took it to Honda and they changed the battery of my car on 11/30. I called Honda customer service and they told me this is a known issue but they do not have a fix for it. Two days after I got my battery changers, the touch screen went out while I was driving and caused the stereo system to reboot. Today, I was at the stop light waiting for the light to turn green. There was not a car infront of me and when the light turned green I took my foot off the pedal and the car started to move. About two seconds of moving the car, the car breaked by itself and the hazards lights came on- this happened on 12/14. A car behind me had to swerve to avoid hitting me.

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. On several occasions, while driving, the lane departure feature and automatic emergency braking system activated independently without a vehicle in close proximity. The vehicle was taken to metro Honda in union county (4918 us-74, indian trail, nc 28079, (866) 756-8838) where it was diagnosed that the front camera and sensor needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the sensor and camera were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000. The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact emailed Honda of covington (100 holiday square blvd, covington, la 70433, (985) 892-0001) because the tire pressure monitoring system indicator illuminated. On September 11, 2019, while driving 35 mph, the auto brake system suddenly engaged and stopped the vehicle. There were no vehicles in front of the contact at the time of the failure. The dealer was emailed again regarding the failure. Later, the vehicle moved on its own in reverse from a parked position and struck a neighbor's mailbox. There were no injuries. The manufacturer was contacted and roadside service towed the vehicle to the same dealer. The dealer stated that there was $3,700 worth of damage, but no failure codes were located. The contact researched and found numerous complaints and a lawsuit filed against the manufacturer. The failure mileage was 700. The VIN was unknown.

I was driving on the highway in my new 2019 Honda Accord which is just at its 3768 miles, and the adaptive cruise control system, collusion mitigation braking system and road departure system failed. It showed a message to take it to the dealer. Upon restarting the problem seems to be solved. I got the car couple of months ago, so I have their May 2019 software update which supposedly would fix this problem with 10th gen Accord, but it didn't. the dealers and Honda corporate keep responding that Honda doesn't have a fix for this problem yet, which is going on for over a year now for many owners, which can easily be found by a google search. May 122019

Accord

  • 800 miles
With only less than 800 miles on the car, my 2019 Honda Accord vsa modulator (which was diagnosed by the dealership) failed. I felt the car begin to bog on the highway right before we were on the exit. Then, the gas pedal stopped working properly and the car lost speed. I would press hard on the gas pedal and the car would take about 3 seconds before it started to move forward, jerking in the direction I intended it to go. After struggling a little while, I luckily pulled over and called a tow truck to send my car to the dealership. I felt that I was very lucky to be able to safely pull over. 1st, it happened during an early Sunday morning with heavy rain, so there was not much traffic. 2nd, the event occurred right before we were going to exit the highway with only a few hundreds of feet to go. Also, it's in my hometown and I know the road very well. Otherwise, an uncontrollable car could cause very serious accident. If we were to crash, the event would likely be attributed to driver fault - since it is such a new car - rather than a crucial car part failing, which could cause death to many others who buy new Honda Accord 2019S. Therefore, I believe that this issue should not be taken lightly and should be further investigated.
