On Tuesday evening, December 19, 2023, while driving at highway speeds, the following message appeared on my digital display: BRAKE SYSTEM Brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. Other system messages began to appear, including, I believe, concerning the steering. More important, the car immediately went into a -??limp mode-?? with the speed dropping to 20 miles an hour, and then further down to as slow as 2 mph. Fortunately, I was not far from an exit and at the exit I pulled off the exit ramp onto the grass. I then shut the engine off and restarted it immediately. I was able to get back onto the exit ramp, but the initial message quickly reappeared and I was able to make it home driving between 10 and 15 mph. The next day the car was towed to the dealer who advised me that the issue was resolved by updating the software. At no point, did I ever receive a message or other indication that a software update was needed. The car has fewer than 5000 miles on it. The safety issue results from my being forced to drive at a very low speed while still on the highway. I independently did some online research and discovered that this type of issue has happened before with both this model and other Honda hybrids.

The Infotainment System linked pixel 6 phone freezes. The icons for selecting navigation or other feature freezes. The car has been taken to the dealership twice. Unfortunately, the issue still persists. To resolve, the phone needs to be disconnected and reconnected multiple times for Android Auto icons to work properly. This can cause issues and risk when driving and need to change navigation icons and directions.

Car sunroof exploded while driving on highway, was going 65 on the 75(N central expressway) Dallas, TX. 3 passengers (family) in car and witnessed the incident. Glass shattered and got all over us, minor injuries such as cuts. Almost hit somebody upon explosion and glass shattering which landed on me and passengers, luckily we didn-??t crash. Weather was 62 degrees and took place at 10:02 PM so weather wasn-??t too hot or too cold to cause the explosion. Super scary as we could have been hit, especially driving on a highway where you can-??t stop and pull off right of way. Again no objects were thrown and the car has no other damage but sunroof. Person on roadside said that this has happened before to Hondas and Acuras. After brought to Dealer twice, I was told by Honda that they are not responsible for the car and never offered to even fix it or quote it. I bought/ leased the car 2 months ago and yet they are saying it-??s not a manufacturing issue.

Well, I don't really know what to do.. Last night the car was sitting in the garage on. And playing a seminar I was watching.on my phone. The keys were nowhere around the car, and the door was unlocked and the car was just sitting there on in the garage. We've only had the car five days, but this worries me.. It reminds me of [XXX]. This is the first year of this body styles and I hope it never does anything weird like this on the freeway (cutting off) or parked in front of a store. The Honda Accord LX is equipped with a seven inch audio infotainment screen that does not detect nor capable of having wifi. The car's computer will update through Bluetooth and/or tethering to my phone. After I set up my hondalink and free att wifi(which wifi is on my phone), I went to Honda dealer I bought from and another local technician to speak to them about my phone tethered settings being on no file transfer. At both locations I was told my car does not update through my phone, they looked for a wifi connection in my car, and then asked to see my phone. I thought a recent update had made my engine go to 4rpms without switching gears. I was told where I bought it at that this was not on my cars computer and it did not happen. I have contacted Honda Corp to be told the same that the car does not update through my phone. Hondalink has a locator and engine updates were applied to my car at 8pm on Friday night in my driveway. Bluetooth does not have enough strength to install engine updates.
