The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound inside the vehicle on the passenger-??s side when the brake pedal was depressed. The undated needed check booklet message was displayed. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V763000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The dealer determined that an update was needed. The dealer located an unknown object that was hanging underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000. 2024 Honda Accord EX 11th generation Due to poor design and engineering and the use of low-quality plastic pipes to carry gas fuel vapor to the (evap system) and brake fluid to the braking system, these pipes have resulted in safety issues, both involving the possible loss of braking and high chances of fire when they are compromised. All these pipes run parallel to the exhaust system, which gets extremely hot. Due to the plastic brake, gas line, and evap line being exposed to road hazards, it's allowed direct contact with road debris, in which I encountered in my 2024 Honda Accord EX Turbo. The Honda engineering team should have known, reasonably expected leaving such thin plastic pipes exposed under the undercarriage of the car would most likely result in costly repairs in which they would, therefore, deny any responsibility for damages occurring. The local Honda dealership can't repair these damaged pipes due to liability issues. The pipes can't be coupled together, so the entire length of these pipes must be replaced at a cost of $7,035.52. American Honda has calculated the repair time and charges for any necessary work need, these charges are universal throughout all Honda dealerships in the United States. Due to car being under warranty one is unable to seek repairs elsewhere without violating the the 3 year/ 36000 factory warranty for other covered parts. Having to report and claim such damages on my auto insurance policy shouldn't be an option. An insurance company shouldn't have to pay to replace damaged fuel and brake lines due to the poor engineering of an auto manufacturer. The financial burden on owners is significant, and having such issues as this increases all our insurance costs. This could have resulted in me losing brakes and fire starting as both exposed fluid lines run parallel to the exhaust and have no cover/ guard to aid in protection. I've contacted American Honda, they absolutely refuse to accept any responsibility for damages.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord Sedan. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the brakes were engaged inadvertently. On two occasions the vehicle braked abruptly, the vehicle hit a curb, and punctured the front and rear passenger tires. A police report was taken on one of those occasions. The contact sustained neck and back injuries and medical attention was needed during the first occasion. The vehicle was taken to a body shop where the tires were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

I was driving a busy 4 lane street when the brake warning light came on. Car slowed down and I managed to turn off onto a side street. When I pushed the throttle there was no reaction. The car would not move. I shut it off and restarted then it would go. The Brake System Warning light was on. Said: BRAKE SYSTEM Brake system problem. Brake performance may be reduced. See your dealer. I drove straight to dealer, and they checked the car and cleared the codes. Could not find anything wrong. I was lucky to be able to get off busy street without incident.

On June 9, 2024, while I was driving on the highway, my new Accord flashed a series of warning messages on the right side of the driver information interface (instrument panel). The messages that flashed and scrolled through repeatedly are listed below: Electric parking brake system problem. Parking brake not available. See your dealer. Blind spot information system problem. See your dealer. Hill start assist problem. Vehicle may roll upon brake release. See your dealer. Transmission system problem. Performance may be reduced. See your dealer. Emission system problem. Power may be reduced. See your dealer. Additionally, near the fuel gauge a red BRAKE light flashed and an amber BRAKE SYSTEM stayed illuminated. This is upsetting because I've had my new Honda Accord just over one month and have fewer than 1500 miles on it. UPDATE: I took my new Honda Accord Touring to my dealer and they examined it and told me a solenoid needed replacement. They ordered the part which took several day and replaced it. The solenoid replacement did not fix the problem and the service manager said my car needed a new transmission (eCVT). I was shocked such a new car would require such a radical repair. After waiting two weeks, my transmission was replaced. However, I'm not confident in my car. I read on NHTSA that 2023 Accord Hybrid had a recall for eCVT transmission replacement. My Accord Hybrid Touring is a 2024 manufactured in 3/2024.

While driving our 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid, the vehicle suddenly lost all power. Message on dash in big bold letters told me to BRAKE!!!!! even though there did not appear to be any reason to brake. When I tried to brake, I was not able to and the steering was difficult. I was able to pull over and finally stop. I was in a precarious spot and did not feel safe sitting in the car since I was just over the crest of a bridge endangering not only myself but potentially other drivers coming over the crest. Numerous messages on the dash related to steering and braking issues. Examples : Brake system problem Electric power steering problem Reduced traction and handling Brake hold system problem Electric parking brake system problem, parking brake not available

While driving down a paved road that has multiple bumps at due to cracking and buckling at 40 MPH, the car dashboard had multiple indicator lights turn on with audible warnings. One of the most visible was an alert that indicated there was a problem with the electronic breaking system. I came to a stop light, and brought the vehicle to a stop, all indicator lights remained on. When the light turned green, the car would not move and was disabled. I turned on my flashers as I was stuck in the middle of the road. I turned the car off and back on. The errors did not clear. I turned the car off again and it indicated I needed to put the car in Park. Once I did this and turned on the car, it rebooted and all errors were cleared. Dealership was able to find the following errors logged: U0100-00, u0100-f1, u0101-00, u0122-00, u0122-f1, u0129-00, u0131-00, u0131-f1, u0151-00, and u0416-68. Dealership said this was due to an "intermittent multi purpose camera failure". They said that if this issue occurs again, they would replace the camera. My concern is, this issue disabled my vehicle and didn't allow me to move the car after it had come to a stop. This can cause a serious safety issue if stopped in the middle of the road like what happened to me. If this is a wider or known-issue it should be dealt with rather than waiting for the failure to happen again.

Driving at highway speed with cruise control active, cruise turns off and car immediately feels like manual steering and accelerator harder to push. Warning lights displayed Adaptive Cruise, lane departure and brake system, See Dealer. Exited the highway and restarted the car. Lights went off. Taking to dealer via appointment. Dealer says they can't determine whether or not there could be danger of driving the vehicle and can't get the car in for more than a week, leaving me without transportation should something go wrong.

On 2 separate occasions while driving, I have taken an exit that has 2 left and 2 right turn lanes. While I'm in the middle left turn lane and a car is in the middle right turn lane the radar cone for the emergency braking system will trigger an imminent collision and slam on the brakes even though cars are in completely different lanes and I have nothing in front of me. Both incidents have caused near misses from cars behind me. I'm not sure I even feel safe driving this car anymore, if technology that is supposed to keep me and my passengers safe is this unpredictable to the interpretation of my environment, it will inevitably cause a collision and after viewing articles around news outlets it looks like this has already happened. It seems to be a sensitivity issue with the sensors on the front of the car or that the sonar is too wide. Either way, this needs to be fixed before drivers start getting into more serious collisions rather than small fender benders as there are a lot of crvs and accords with this issue already on the road.
