I purchased this car in June 2021 for my grandson as high school graduation gift and entrance in college. Driving at a speed of 55 the car tremble uncontrollably and cuts off. I was told that oil leak into the catalytic converters. I had to replace catalytic converters, clean piston, constantly changing spark plugs car misfires, had to replace air conditioner and most of the electrical. What is next. Honda settled a lawsuit March 2014 which this car was apart of it. I wish I would-??ve know before I purchased this car. That class action lawsuit needs to be reopened.

Oil consumption is more than it should be. I have to add oil between changes and I always get a misfire because my engine is trash

My car jerks from the vcm module on the car usually when going around 40 mph especially when entering a turn( I drive mostly on a 2 lane highway) which makes me feel unsafe because it happens when it shuts down cylinders and jerks the car hard sometimes and gives a significant loss of torque. I recently purchased a Honda Accord crosstour 2010 with 72K miles on their 3.5L V6 engine and was not informed about Honda being sued for their vcm module that shuts down cylinders. It ruins piston rings, breaks engine mounts, misfiring, burning oil, and last but not least bent piston rods all so you can get 1 more mile per gallon. I would like for Honda to do a recall to fix engines that are damaged and to finally give their buyers an option to turn the vcm off which is known to prevent those problems and make the car not jerk.I got 75K miles now and jerking has gotten worse to where I'm trying to find ways to turn it off. Thank you for your time!

At approximately 100,000 miles, after it is warmed up, the transmission starts to thump/clunk when it downshifts from 3rd to 2nd gear when slowing and approaching a stop on urban streets.

Vehicle shutters between 20 and 25 mile per hour on acceleration. Honda forum reports that issue is the axles. The shutter still remains after axles were replaced. Reports of factory defective in torque converter causing transmission damage/failure. Vehicle currently at 77K miles. The issue has been on going for well over a year. I do not have the funds to replace multiple parts until the issue is resolved as a guessing game.

Red oil pressure lights triggering intermittently while in motion on both highway and city. Esp uphill motion. Honda not able to id a "code" for cause in system sent me on my way. Has happened 12 times since then in 24H. 2010 Accord crosstour 4WD

Vehicle shaking and vibrating while acclerating, turning and driving at controlled speed. 30-65mph. Honda dealer states "source to be a bad axel " (sic). Also states parts supply problem with "national back order, no eta." This seems to be a serious safety issue with the vehicle and a recall is needed given the potential for loss of control. Please see attached invoice.

The vehicle vibrates, and shakes upon acceleration. Honda is aware of the drive axle issues with this auto. In fact they tell me the car needs drive axles, but can't repair as the drive axles are on indefinite backorder, and if they could get the axles the repair would be in excess of $1000.

Right front axle has been on indefinite back order with no eta. Vehicle is unsafe to drive and there are no after-market replacements available. Vehicle rattles and shakes upon acceleration and braking.

Excess oil consumption. First made aware by oil service technician when the car was just under 5 years old. Technician said they notice excess consumption at the previous change, but thought it was a fluke. Since then, Honda has had me recording mileage and oil levels. After nearly 8,000 miles I had enough evidence for them to do a software update....which did not fix the problem. One thousand miles after the most recent oil change, I had to add 1/2 quart. Now the local Honda repair shop says they are trying to convince Honda to do a good-will fix. Really" how is this good will when this is a known engineering design issue"

Two weeks ago, I was driving at approximately 55 mph, the car felt as if it were switching gears sluggishly. Then I noticed the engine light had come on. I took the vehicle to O'reilly's to investigate the engine light which was caused by a P3400 code/bank 1. I researched the code and purchased 2 quarts of the 0W20 synthetic oil. The light went out after driving approximately 10 miles. I then made an appointment for an oil change, however the dealership was closed for the memorial day holiday and rescheduled for tomorrow (3 days later). The light has since come back on; I again checked the oil and had to add 2 quarts of 0W20 synthetic oil. Once again, the car is sluggish and has a new symptom of knocking when accelerating. I will have it towed in the morning for the scheduled oil change to ensure nothing is damaged. I have done additional research and found that I had received notification from Honda last year in reference to a class action settlement for service bulletin (#11-033) that addressed excessive oil consumption from a "systematic design defect that enables oil to enter into the engine's combustion chamber. This leads to premature spark plug degradation and engine malfunction." Hopefully, the dealership will repair the defect once and for all.

Floorboard/vibration shake at 22mph and 72mph. Brake pulsation - dealer turned rotors, replaced rotors, and still have brake pulsation. We have had numerous problems with our Honda crosstour - normal acceleration at 22mph gas pedal, brake, floorboards shake. When cruising at 72mph or going down slight decline entire car shakes. Brakes were pulsating at 4896 miles, 10K miles, 18K miles, and still are not correct at 20K miles. What dealer has done so far - Jul 2011 - turned rotors, road force balanced tires/wheels - no improvements with vibration at 22 and 72 mph - dealer wanted to wait for donor parts to replace drive shaft assembly (we waited 4 months) - Honda tsb drive shaft assembly 29 Oct 2011 - complained about vibration at 22 and 72mph again, and brake pulsation, dealer replace front axles - no improvements - and replaced front rotors. 18 Jul 2012 - complained about vibration at 22 and 72 mph, and brake pulsation again - dealer replaced rotors - dealer balanced tires and wheels again. August/September 2012 - Honda regional rep came in - road force balance tires again -swapped out front tires and rims, shutdown vcm, swapped out computer no improvements - vibration/shudder still present at 22mph and 72mph- brakes still pulsating 24 Sept 2012 - national Honda rep came in checked valve tolerances - cylinder 5 valves tight causing misfires - didn't improve vibration/shudder replaced axles again, replaced torque converter engine vibration is better at 22mph but worse at 72 mph - cruising and much worse going down declines. Brakes are still not correct. Our car / engine has been shaking severely for a long time and we are worried about our safety - that something may come loose and cause us to lose control of the vehicle getting hurt or hurting someone else. Honda has not been posting these tsb's publicly.
