Takata recall -- the recall was performed by the dealer-- left dealership and airbag light came on -- comes on intermittently-- dealer says because it wasn't on when the service was performed its not part of the recall even though it came on almost immediately after leaving the dealer and I returned-- they reset it but it comes on and stays on for usually short periods-- the tech who performed the recall said there is a part they have replaced as part of the recall but the dealer is balking at fixing the problem without charge

Takata recall. I was notified of a recall via carfax app in May 2016. I see that a remedy is not yet available to have the passenger air bag repaired or replaced. The time frame given initially was late summer or fall 2016. I have had no issues so far (no accidents).

The contact owns a 2011 Honda Accord crosstour. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V346000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact had not experienced a failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
