I was on I-95 going to church when I heard a weird knocking sound from my car's engine. I don't know then if the engine started slowing down, or if I just automatically started lifting my foot off the pedal; however, when I felt the engine seize, I immediately pulled over to the side of the interstate. I called a tow company and had my car towed to my local Honda dealership in DE where I have had all of my maintenance (even oil changes) done previously. I originally bought my car in 2004 at Carmax in MD and the car only had about 23,101 miles on it. It is now 2009 and I had 107,059 miles on my car. Well, I got a call from the dealership and they said that my #4 rod bearing spun in engine & there was metal throughout the engine. They said I would need a new engine! And it would cost me anywhere from $3,500 to $6,000 to fix! I ended up accepting their offer of $2,100 for my car and my dad gave me $3,000 and I ended up getting a 2001 Ford Taurus. Now I am looking at the 2001 Ford Taurus complaints & hope I didn't get another lemon!

I have a 1999 CRV and I took that vehicle in for check engine light and idling problems back in 2004, I had 83,000 miles, the dealership adjusted the valves.... that was in June. Then the Factory Service Bulletin came out in Nov of 2004.... and as bad luck would have it the vehicle was back into the dealership in Dec of 2004.... after the bulletin... they didn't catch that it was the cylinder, they told me that the re-formulated gas in our area had fouled the injectors..... so now for 2 1/2 years my wife and I have been driving it around with the engine light coming on and we

could never figure out why. Well, the cylinder finally ceased because of the inherent problem, and now Honda does not want to stand behind their product.... they have admitted there is a problem by issuing a Technical Service Bulletin back in 2004 and now they are unwilling to cover my blown engine... and while I'm on the subject.... if you ever get an opportunity to by an extended warranty from Warranty America.... refuse it.... they too will find any way out of paying..... case in point.... they said they wouldn't cover my repair because the valve seat had recessed into the

head.... they say they don't cover valve seats.... but the coverage says they cover valves..... make sense?.... not to me it didn't.....
