I have owned a 2001 CRV Honda 4WD or real time for less than one year this is the first full winter in rural northern Michigan with this automobile and let me add this winter was mild compared to most. I have had two rollovers with this automobile within the last 8weeks the first in December and the second in Feb 02 at first I did except the rollover with road conditions and all but after the second I cannot, I have learned now that this so called SUV is sold and was sold to me as a 4WD all time but it is infact not. I have learned also why I would just loose control it is a automatic spin and roll and you have no control this is because the real time 4WD is not 4WD the four wheel drive kicks in when sensors detect that the front wheels are spinning, losing traction, then the CRV revert to front wheel drive the more the front wheels slip, the more the rear wheels kick in which causes you to spin out of control, this has happend on black ice twice no speeding tickets and no at fault tickets for the driver if that tells you anything. I am 32 and have to had a accident in 13years my insurance has doubled, this has caused injuries and it is hard to bring myself to drive without crying. I am so scared they are going to fix and give me this car back I cannot put myself or my children it this death trap. This SUV is not fit for a rural areas or any kind of driving other than on dry warm pavement only.
