All four of my door actuators have failed. The first one failed in 2010 and the fourth failed in 2012. My CR-V was assembled in England. Different actuators were used on CR-V's assembled in Japan. I purchased the actuators online. The cost was between $25 and $60 each. Three unique actuators. They are not easy to replace because they are tucked in a corner of the door, you have to do it by feel, not sight. If you are not handy don't try it, the mounting screws are easy to strip. I'll bet a Honda dealer would charge about $300 an actuator to replace. Since all four happened at different times you would have to bring it to the dealer four times, very inconvenient and costly, $1,200.
These actuators are junk, Honda should be embarrassed.
