CR-V

  • 115,000 miles
The contact owns a 2005 Honda CRV. The contact was traveling 65 mph, heard a noise coming from the transmission and the vehicle started to rapidly slow down. When the failure occurred the vehicle started to veer drastically to the left causing the contact crash into the median wall and the vehicle to spin around three times. The passenger side air bag deployed, but not the drivers side. The vehicle was towed to the insurance companies inspection station where it was ruled destroyed and they were unable to determine the cause of failure. The failure and current mileage was 115,000.

2005 Honda cr V,130,000 ks, at 1500 RPM veh.mshutters then smoothes out at 1800 RPM occurs when going about 50 km/H, dealership said this occurs its a 1800$fix or change tranny fluid 2 or 3 times, at 100 ks, intervals, did this it stills occurs but fewer times, im worried tranny will go, its a default in manufacturing.

CR-V

  • 28,486 miles
Three years from date of purchase, at 28486 miles, my Honda CRV was taken to the dealer for service. I mentioned noise when making turns if the car was cold. The dealer said the car needed the differential fluid replaced and the differential clutches burnished, (as per bulletin). My maintenance manual recommends this at 5 years or 90,000 miles. I read that other drivers have had the same problem. I was not charged, because the car had 5 days left on the initial warranty. I assume this is some kind of manufacturing defect.
