CR-V EXL 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 93,206 miles

My AC hasn't worked since I got it. I don't have the cash to have it worked on by Honda. Now it doesn't start. As of today, it was turning over slowly and on the 2nd or 3rd try it would start. It was doing this for about 2 wks and today I went to start it and it would not even turn over, Battery, new alternator new... what could it be? I'm pretty handy when it comes to fixing my cars in the past, I'd hate to remove the starter on this 2007 CRV because it's a pain in the ass to get it off. Does anybody think they know what could it be? Thanks. my email is chef_giovanni@hotmail.com

CR-V LX 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 189,000 miles

This is my third Honda and after reading all of the complaints, I am getting more scared to own my car. The ac is the only problem that I have had with this car and I feel very lucky now. I bought it brand new, only driver, and I drive mostly highway. Now that the summer is returning and my car is 300 miles away from the 200,000 mark, I might be trading in.

It is nice not having a car payment but the Texas heat is a pain in the ass. Especially while stuck the "Oh so wonderful, DFW traffic!" I took my car to the shop last summer to get an estimate and they wanted $2,000 to fix the problem and told me that it would probably happen again. I'll save my money and use that as a larger down payment.

Good luck to all CRV owners.

CR-V LX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 105,000 miles

My car had 105,00 miles on it Honda would only honor cars with less than 100.000 miles on it. Sure enough A/C went out, contacted dealer. They would not honor recall, we paid $695 to have it fixed.

CR-V LX 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

Temperature today was 94 and of course the air conditioning went out and blows HOT AIR! Went on line to see if there had been a fix in the past and WOW I found I was just one of many many more. Heard there was a class action suit against Honda for 2007 CRV's with this issue. I need info, please help! I understand Honda has been very slow to help. They better come through or this will be my last Honda! So what do I do to fix the problem?

CR-V

  • Automatic transmission
  • 68,000 miles

The AC failed. Needed to replace the coil and fan clutch at 68k miles. Honda builds a great engine, but the rest of their components leave a lot to be desired.
