I have been reading over several internet complaint files where this problem is big but for some reason Honda is not being held responsible. How can this be? We know it was caused by some inferior paint that Honda used, so why are they not liable for the fixing of this problem?

CR-V J9 3.3L

My SUV appears to have paint on the body that is defective. The paint has been peeling off since last year and has become worse over the past few months, especially on the hood and roof. A response and a solution for this problem would be appreciated, and as soon as possible. Thank you very much.

I bought this car when it was 2 years old and it looked fine. I had the Car Fax which showed no accidents or problems. I bought it from a reputable dealer.

After about 2 years the sealer on the hood started to peel. It kept getting worse and worse. I kept it parked either in the shade or under cover. I took it to the dealer and they said there was nothing they could do since I bought it used. I researched the problem online and discovered hundreds of similar complaints for Hondas. I called Honda directly and they blew me off. I am furious that I paid full Blue Book price and expected to have a beautiful car until the end of its life. Now the car is worth about $5k less than Blue Book due to its appearance.

This is Honda's fault and I feel ripped off. I think they should fix it.
