Front passenger door will not stay in unlocked position after using manual unlock, or key fob. Just forces back to locked. Am concerned that if there is a crash - the door will not be able to be opened.

Right rear door, actuator switch making a horrible noise. Sometimes the door will not lock at all. I have read of literally hundreds of other Honda CRV's that do the same thing and Honda should stand behind this defect instead of ignoring it. They should live up to their reputation!

The rear passenger door automatically unlocks after main lock button is pushed on interior of driver's door as well as on the key fob. All other locks can easily lock/unlock manually except this door. It seems to be stuck until the button on driver's side door is pushed to lock. But almost instantly, it will unlock again. Anytime the car is driven past 9mph, the car keeps trying to lock all the doors making an annoying noise.

On 08/09/2013 I parked my Honda CRV in my driveway and locked my car with my keyless remote. One hour later our family decided to go out to dinner. We went out to our car and it wouldn't open. Tired the key in the door and tried the keyless remote also tried the spare keyless remote, would not open. At 9:30 P.M. we call aaa to open the car, at 10 P.M. aaa showed up and opened the front passenger door. He got the door open, we decided to take the car to the Honda dealer in the morning. During the night, the doors automatically locked. I needed to go to work, had to get a ride with someone else. My husband waited 3 hours for a tow-truck to show up to take it to a Honda dealership. We were very surprised to find out this was not covered by a recall, this is a safety issue. Where we live the temperature during the day in August runs from 95 degrees to 110 degrees, if this happened during the day and children were in the car, this could cause death.

Driver door latch assembly/actuator causes doors to lock and unlock repeatedly beginning at approx 9 mph. With vehicle parked and turned off, doors re-lock repeatedly each time the door is unlocked making if difficult to enter or exit the vehicle. This was repaired, but failed again in July 2013 at approximately 48,334 miles.

The door on the right of driver side was locked half year's ago. Unable to open it. On Sept. 19, 2013, the door on the right of the passenger side was locked. And now the doors on the left of passenger side as well as the trunk were locked. It pose serious safety danger.

The passenger door regularly does not remain electronically locked despite using the driver door switch and/or remote. This could pose a serious safety concern if involved in vehicular accidents since the occupants may become entrapped when the defect prevents an occupant from unlocking the doors. Furthermore, this defect jeopardizes the safety of vehicle occupants since not all doors are capable of being manually unlocked from the exterior. Instead, and with the exception of the vehicles driver door, the electronic locking mechanism is the only method available to gain access to the vehicle from the exterior - only the driver's door has a slot allowing use of a physical key. While this issue risks the safety of all occupants, the door lock defect poses an acute risk to children in the front seat since they may be unable to open the door from inside the vehicle and, due to the lack of an exterior locking mechanism, an individual on the outside may not be able to unlock these doors and gain interior access. Honda has apparently long been well aware of this issue. Despite its longstanding knowledge of this design defect, Honda has routinely refused to repair the cars without charge when the defect manifests. As a result of defendants unfair, deceptive and/or fraudulent business practices, owners and/or leasees have suffered an ascertainable loss of money and/or property and/or loss in value. The unfair and deceptive trade practices committed by Honda has caused many aggravating circumstances. Had I known about this defect, at the time of purchase, I would not have bought it, or would have paid substantially less for it. Honda's alleged actions to properly notify consumers of this issue - and to offer successful repair at no charge to consumers - has seriously harmed Honda reputation.

The front right passenger door and the hatch door were locked shut. I could not open either door with the remote or manually. I was concerned this could be dangerous for the passenger if we were ever involved in an accident and needed to get out of the car immediately. I did have both doors repaired. Then a few months later the rear door started making a grinding noise whenever the doors locked or unlocked. Then the drivers door would open and close all the doors at random times. I was concerned the doors would lock me out one day. I do make frequent car trips to see my family in another city and I did not want to get locked out while on route in the middle of nowhere. I have since had those two doors repaired for another few hundred dollars. This is a safety issue for anyone who might be in an accident and the doors will not open. I feel Honda should take responsibility for this defect in the CRV's before someone does get seriously hurt or worse.

I was at the cabin finishing up some chores. Went to put some tools in the back seat of the Honda CRV and the door would not open. The same thing happened to the back hatch. The door could not be opened with out great difficulty from the inside and not at all from the outside. The hatch could be opened also only from the inside after crawling over the seats and only after removing the latch panel and manually flipping the latch. After I got home I researched the problem and the internet is full of such problems. I understand that some models of CRV 2006 and older had a recall. Of course mine is a 2007. Problems with the latch and actuator are a significant safety issue as if there was an accident or fire both of these egresses out of the vehicle would not be available either by the occupants or rescue personnel. The cost to get this repaired is significant leaving the potential for the problem not to be fixed immediately.
