This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
Found spare wheel area quite wet with at least a cup full of water on several occasions. Complained to my local Honda service agent who have been very considerate but they appear unable to find the cause. It is quite inconvenient to drive 30 miles to my Honda agent at my own fuel expense. Lady at Honda Customer service in UK said she would give me an allowance for one journey. I said this will be my five journey. Sorry I cannot allow you an allowance. I was rather cross but she said Honda were under no obligation and as a result I have never had any expense allowance. I wonder is this a problem. I spoke to a gentleman driving a similar year CRV and he said his car had been recalled to put a new seal cover on rear wiper but he did not have a leak into boot/trunk

So I go to fill up my spare tire, and there is 3" of water in the damn trunk pit where you store the spare. I have found out from my father in law that there are complaints about this in the CRV from 2005 up to the current years, because of bad structural welds, where it comes in, and runs down and deposits into the spare tire pit. Im not sure what to do, as it comes from somewhere inside the structure of the car that is cover with all the interior panels. But it sucks.
Update from Jun 4, 2015: Once I dried this out, it never happened again, so I think it is something the previous owner did, like spilled a cooler or something in there. I also have never had a door lock problem or any other problem with m 2007 CRV, and I am nearing 300,000 miles
