CR-V EX

  • Automatic transmission
  • 285,000 miles

This is a safety issue and should be paid by the manufacturer of Honda. My daughter drives this car and her well being and safety are my first priority. How crazy it it to start driving and your locks open while you are in motion?! Your door indicator also lets you know your door is open. This need to be addressed for the older models, no longer under warranty. I have to come out of my pocket and have this fixed for my peace of mind.

Concern about Customer Satisfaction and Safety:

My dealer was able to change the Driver side (not mentioning that there was a recall/fix). When I came in the service center they mentioned about looking at the driver side door lock (free of charge). When I got the vehicle back they did change it. After couple months, the passenger side started malfunctioning, I called the dealership and also involved Honda and raised a ticket. they said its not under warranty anymore and needs to get fixed by dealer and dealer quotes minimum of 300$ and above for rectifying the cause.

Honda talks about safety and satisfaction but they don't extend extra mile on checking the other door as it was not part of their recall.

checking and replacing the other actuators should solve this issue hopefully but they never commit to their Manufacturing or Programming defect on this door lock configuration.

Buyers be aware..!
