The contact owns a 2008 Honda CR-V. the child safety seat is a 2008 dorel eddie bauer child restraint seat, model number 22-865 -chl. The infant was properly secured in a forward facing "convertible" child restraint seat. However, the child was able to remove the lower portion of the harness without assistance. The child restraint seat was installed using the latch system. She was in the process of notifying the manufacturer of the failure. The VIN was unavailable.
