Bought used 3 years ago. Only 42,000 miles yet had a noise when starting. After 2 years, would not start, replaced the starter switch. Seemed OK for 2 months. Began noticing slow crank on cold mornings. Had battery checked. It's good. Now it won't start. Lights on dash flicker, clicking noise, engine won't turn over. Please if anyone has a solution share.

The problem is still not fixed..thought was battery..put brand new battery in...won't turn over at all..towed to service station..put in new starter..worked for 25 miles...now it's doing the same thing as before..won't turn over..they gave a relay to try..put brand new 1 in..still not working..so far spent over $700 and it still doesn't work.

Car battery has a slow drain. Changed the battery 3 times. Approximately once a month go to start the car and the battery is dead. I tried changing the AC relay switch which I saw was a common fix online. That seamed to work for a while but the new battery went dead 3 days ago.

This occured to me over the summer, I went to start the vehicle after washing it and it would not start; it just made clicking noise. Had someone come by and give me a jump start and it fired right up. No problems until last night, got in and again it would not start, just went to clicking. Started thinking that maybe there could be an issue with the battery, the alternator, or even the starter. Had someone jump start me last night and again it started right away. Still thinking it could have something to do with the battery, noticed when looking at mine tonight that the indicator shows it as good, but the cold start cranking amps are only 450; maybe a battery with a higher cold cranking amp may be better; considering buying one with the 600+ cold cranking amps.

BOUGHT THE 2008 HONDA CRV NEW, HAD THE NO START PROBLEM AFTER A YEAR OLD. BROUGHT BACK TO HONDA, DID TEST OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND REPORTED NO PROBLEMS. EVERY SIX MONTHS, SAME PROBLEM, WILL NOT START, BROUGHT TO AUTOZONE FOR TESTING, THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS, BROUGHT TO WALMART, ALSO FOUND NO PROBLEMS. BACK TO HONDA NOW, VEHICLE IN SHOP NOW, AGAIN THEY FIND NO PROBLEMS.
WILL NOT START NOW ABOUT ONCE A MONTH. LAST NO START ON 11-1-2013, BEFORE THAT 10-3-2013. CAR IS GARAGED AND RUN EVERY DAY. ONCE A MONTH NOW IT WILL NOT START, AS SOON AS ANOTHER VEHICLE IS CONNECTED WITH JUMPER CABLES, IT STARTS RIGHT UP ?
WHEN IT DOES NOT START, IT ONLY CLICKS AS IF THE BATTERY IS BAD, BUT BATTERY IS GOOD. SECOND BATTERY IN 2 YEARS, HONDA BATTERY, AND IT PROBLEM IS STILL THERE ? WHEN IT DOES NOT START, THE ENGINE DOES NOT TURN OVER, ONLY CLICKS. JUMP START , RUN 2 MILES AND IT STARTS AGAIN ? HONDA CAN NOT FIND A PROBLEM BUT KEEPS CHARGING ME FOR SERVICE, THEY ACT AS IF I AM MAKING THIS UP? IF I DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM I WOULD NOT BE BRINGING IT BACK IN WOULD I ? VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HONDA..........HELP ????

I was picking up supplies for our business, and when I went to leave my car wouldn't start. Key went in okay, turned ~ and nothing!! No dash lights, nothing! The battery is new, so i was sure it was not that. But several tries to start it did nothing. I looked thru the manual to see if it was something with the anti-theft that i could fix to no avail. I got out of the car and back into the store and one of the owners came out to see if he could help. Low & behold it started right up! When I came home and told my guys, my son mentioned it had done the same thing to him ~ twice ~ when he borrowed it for school & work one of those times he jumped it to start it. Unfortunately, I do not have either of those dates.
