My car was diagnosed with a faulty airbag code 32-10 front passenger airbag inflator. It cost me $638.26 to replace the right side airbag inflator because my vehicle was not on the airbag recall list. I believe it should be on the airbag recall list and am inquiring how many other 2008 Honda crvs had this same safety issue. I contacted Honda corporation and they would not accept responsibility for the defective airbag or replacement. I have the written diagnostic comment and replacement receipt.

The SRS and seat belt systems are not functioning as expected. The warning lights came on, and Honda advises we need a new side impact air bag as system has failed. Honda will not replace this without charge of over $1000. Car has less than 100000 miles on it, how can the manufacturer not be responsible for lifetime warranty on a safety system" shouldn't that be a federal regulation- that the safety systems be warrantied for life? how can a manufacturer not stand behind its safety system" per the internet, this is not an isolated problem with Honda. A recall on this very issue for other models was done, but despite the similar issue, no recall has occurred on this model. This seems like it needs investigation.

When backing out of an unpaved parking area I hit a large ponderosa pine tree with the rear bumper. The bumper absorbed the impact with a small scratch to the bumper cover. Upon impact, the car was no longer in my control for it lurched forward about 40 feet into the parking space I had left and hit another large tree with the center of the car. The car accelerated forward so quickly I do not recall when the airbag deployed. Immediately after the collision all four wheels continued spinning and dug small depressions in the dirt until the engine stopped. I had no control over the vehicle after backing into the tree. I suffered bruised ribs and a severe burn to my hand from the airbag. A sheriff assessed the accident and called an ambulance to assess my condition and I did not require hospitalization. There was significant damage (estimated $11,000) to the front of the car. This was my first accident and I'm concerned that my Honda CR-V is unsafe for the above reason.

I drove into the rear end of a truck when I glanced away. The car crumbled and the airbags never deployed. Shockingly, the car was repaired. I have the car back and the keys will not remove from the ignition. Each time it is more difficult to remove them.

On 4/24/2011 at approximately 9:15 pm my 19 year old daughter was traveling on the hwy in Arkansas in her 2008 Honda CR-V at a speed of 70 miles per hour. She had a collision with a deer and her airbags failed to deploy. Her seatbelt restrained her from hitting the windshield. This is the second time she has had a hit with a deer and the airbags have failed to deploy. The vehicle has sustained major damage this time and is not operational due to engine and body damage. She has suffered bruising and a stiff neck due to the impact. The Arkansas state police was contacted to assist her, but they never showed.

I am the owner of a 2008 Honda CRV. After a minor accident, I was told by the Honda service in December 2009 that I needed to replace airbag sensors and my driver's side seat belt buckle. Subsequently, the driver's side seat belt became stuck 3/4 out and I was told that it needed to be replaced. The dealer then told me that it could not obtain the part from american Honda. This fact was confirmed by another dealer. The dealer then stated that the part might be available on January 13, then postponed until January 23 and now postponed until February 3. the driver's side seat belt is a basic part required for the safe operation of the vehicle. The Honda CRV is one of that company's most popular models. I and I am sure others are left with cars that cannot be safely driven. This is an outrageous situation.

Head on collision with another vehicle, both doing at least 50 mph. Airbag didn't deploy. Vehicles involved were my 08 Honda CRV and a 95 Chevrolet camaro. Car was taken to body shop with $9,000 in damages. Once repaired, air bag light was on. I was told by body shop it needed a new sensor, new ABS valve and seat belt buckle. Honda dealer is trying to say I was hit too high for the sensors but I was hit hard enough to bend the flanges on the side frame rail 4 bolt mount. Honda dealer doesn't want to discuss with me.
