The passenger airbag light stays on after the car is started and in motion. Regardless if there is a passenger seated or not. The car was taken in to the dealership during the recalls on takata airbag replacement. The passenger airbag light was off and now the light been staying on. I am extremely concern if my family or someone else gets into an accident, the airbag won-??t deploy or may randomly deploy on its own.

S10 direct reply - letter expressing concerns with takata airbags not deploying in 2015 crash. The consumer was involved in a crash and was permanently disabled. The consumer was concerned about the language written in the indictment and plea agreement, stating it was misleading. The trust fund did not include air bags that failed to deploy, only those that exploded.

"takata recall" when I crank the car with no passenger the passenger side air bag light is on for a second and then goes off saying there is someone in the seat when there is no one there. I checked my VIN for recalls and it says there is none but I put a blue driver tester on it and it says the recall is still there.

Recently on the visit to Honda dealer for air bag recall replacement the service advisor told me that my rack and pinon steering on the vehicle was leaking. I was surprised as the vehicle has been well maintained and not abused. It also has less than 98K on it. A search online shows that numerous other Honda 2008 CR-V owners have noted a similar problem and this seems to be a common occurrence on this model which I believe warrants a recall for Honda to repair at their expense. Failure of this part would lead to sudden loss of steering and I feel this is a safety issue. Complaints by other 2008 Honda CRV owners regarding this issue can be found at is this issue being escalated to a recall? steering failure should be considered a safety issue of the highest priority. Quote was $1,600

On June 14, 2014 I was run on the road into a utility pole.by another driver. My airbag exploded with abrasions to my rt arm and chest. My doors on both sides locked on me while fumes from under the hood were filling my interior. The police had to pry the door open.to get me out. I later started having pain in my chest and found out that cartilage broke away from my chest cavity--costochondritis. The car was totalled, but I was advised to check the recall on that make and model. I found two recalls that it seemed just happened. I don't know how long these airbag problems existed. I bought another Honda and checked for recalls on my 2014 CRV. So far none have been noted. I love my car, but what should I do about recalls on this one.

Honda replaced both the drivers and passenger front airbags. I was in an accident April 2017. I was broadsided, drivers door was impacted. My head went hrough the drivers window. None of the side airbags inflated. The body shop was disturbed that the airbags did not deploy. I have been in physical therapy since the accident. The va has been supplying medical treatment. Honda denied responsibility although they never saw the car. My insurance company progressive will not repair the faulty airbags because they were faulty before the accident. Westport Honda where I originally purchased the car is not interested in taking it as a trade in because of the known airbag problem. What am I supposed to do? I'm afraid to drive the car. I can't sell the car without revealing the known problem with the airbags. The dashboard display light comes on without warning indicating the side airbags are not working. The indicator is off most of the time. I never know when it's going to come on and how long it's going to be on. Honda indicated to me that the system needs to be tested at my expense. I am disabled and can not afford to have this done. Or able to travel to such a facility.

2recalls associated with this VIN. 1. Jan 10,2017 manufacturer recall numberke1 NHTSA recall number17V-030 2. Jan 29,2016 manufacturer recall numberjy0 NHTSA recall number16V-061 the passenger frontal airbag inflator in your vehicle may rupture when deploying during a crash. Honda suggests that you avoid having a passenger sit in the front passenger's seat until the recall repair has been performed. This vehicle was exported out of usa to spain when I moved to this country end of 2013. I have contacted Honda usa by telephone and Honda rejected the claim because the vehicle is out of the usa. I have also contacted Honda spain and they rejected the claim because the car was not purchased in spain. This car was manufactured by Honda in Japan anyway. I am presenting this claim to the NHTSA asking for a solution. Sincerely. [xxx] email: [xxx]. information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The NHTSA campaign numbers were not provided. The approximate failure mileage was 135,000.

Takata recall I was driving my car on 4/19/2017 when the car in front of mine stopped, I depresseed the brake pedal however it failed to stop, I struck the car in front of me which caused my airbag to inflate. It ruptured at that time releasing dirty smoke slike materials and burned the skin on my left wrist. I melted my coat and blouse sleeve singing my wrist.. at the time of the brake failure and ruptured airbag inflation I was in motion on a city street.
