For the last couple of weeks the drivers side lock mechanism makes loud noise, is difficult and sometimes impossible to unlock with fob or manually. This is not consistent every time I drive, but has been increasing in frequency. I have been locked out of car twice. The Fob and manual key attempts failed. I replaced the Fob battery and was able to open the car, but the loud noises, lock engagement issues are continuing and increasing in frequency. I want to see if this is a recall issue that can be addressed by a dealership.

I am submitting this complaint in regards to the Honda door actuator situation. It is evident that Honda has negligently omitted a vast majority of affected vehicles in their recent liability lawsuit recall. I personally have had several repairs on my 2009 CRV door locks since I purchased it new in 2009 and am again experiencing continuous problems with the drivers side door lock actuator. Based on my experience and numerous other comments from several social media outlets of 2009 CRV owners, Honda has negligently and purposefully omitted a vast majority of vehicles in their recall in an attempt to lessen the impact of their liability.

The locking system stopped working. When I start the car and engage the gears the car doors are supposed to lock by itself but they do not lock as a result if I do not lock them manually all the four doors remains unlocked. My remote also is unable to lock it opens the door but does not lock and hence I have to do it manually.

Front passenger door lock is unlocking when all the other doors are locked and locking when the other doors are unlocked, I cannot lock all the doors on the car at the same time leaving the car and passengers vulnerable to theft when driving or when the car is parked.

For the past month or so my car doors will not all unlock with the key fobs. The rear door and trunk will not always open. Additionally, when driving slow or making slow turns, the door locks will lock and or unlock as I am driving. Will be going to the dealer and hopefully have them fix this. The rear passenger door lock stopped working, then within days, the door locks started cycling constantly while the car was moving. Also, the rear hatch would also not unlock. At times the remote would not unlock the doors. The repair was to replace the inner door handle, as the actuator was defective.

Driver door unlocks whenever the car makes a right turn. Dome light goes on. Door re-locks when stopping and starting, unlocks again when turning. In city traffic, door unlocks and relocks constantly. (making normal unlocking/locking clicking sound). I took it to the Honda dealer. They said they test drove it - said they could not duplicate the issue and tried to send me away. I requested that their mechanic ride with me for one more test...the door unlocked when I pulled out of the lot. It locked and unlocked three more times in the next 250 yards. The mechanic then agreed that there was a problem. Honda seems to be in denial.

The locking system on my 2009 Honda CRV has not been working properly for several months. The front and back passenger side door will lock and unlock by itself, the driver side front and back will make squeaking noises like it is trying to lock and unlock and the back door will not open at all whether it is turned off or running. I thought for sure that this would be a safety recall because the doors will lock and unlock by themselves and it would be very easy for a small child to open the door and fall out. My husband called the Honda dealership and told them about the issue and they admitted that it was a problem, however said that it was not considered a safety concern and recall has had not been put in place. They also said since it was no longer under warranty it would cost $400 per door to fix the locking problem. Basically they said that it was not a safety concern to Honda that at any given time my two-year old can be locked in the car without me being able to get her out or even worse opening the door while the vehicle is moving and be seriously injured or killed. I have been a Honda driver my entire life (7 cars total) and have never had anything bad to say about them until now. This is a very bad move on their part and have lost a very loyal customer.
