The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic for maintenance where it was noticed that the subframe was rusted past the L-bracket. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the subframe was rusted past the L-bracket. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure.
