After having the rear rotors and pads replaced at 35,000, I had to replace rotors and pads all around after just another 16,000 miles at my expense. Within days the new rotors and brake system began rusting and grinding again despite plenty of lubrication of the calipers. We are now at just 61,000 miles and I can tell I will probably have to do them again to pass inspection later this year.

We were going to buy an Odyssey to replace our Toyota Sienna, which NEVER has any brake problems. I have read MANY complaints about Honda CRV brake problems on dozens of sites - all the same complaints. We will definitely not be buying another Honda. Too bad because the rest of the car is fine. CRV brake problems appear to go back to 2003. After 14 years they should have resolved this problem.

Experienced no noticeable braking problems. Took vehicle to Apostlakis Honda in Hermitage, PA for annual state inspection and was told that there was uneven braking on left rear brakes. Due to problem with sufficient administration of brake fluid. As a result, pads were not applied correctly to rotor causing rotor to be compromised. Said I needed to replace both rear rotors/pads at a cost of $375. Suffice to say that I'm very upset. Does Honda Motors know about this possible defect in its brake fluid transmission to brakes? Obviously, if it is a manufacturer defect, it has the potential to compromise the vehicle's braking system and possibly lead to a catastrophic accident. If anyone else his or has experienced this problem please contact me. Honda had braking problems with its Accord model which led to a class action suit. Through no fault of my own--and seemingly through Honda's defective manufacturing/workmanship, I had to cough up nearly $400 dollars.
