The contact owns a 2012 Honda CR-V. while attempting to start the vehicle, there was an abnormal grinding noise coming from the front end. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the starter actuator failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 17,000.
