I had new tires installed and the TPMS sensor was broken when the technician tried to remove the schrader valve. The shop replaced, but, within a week or two, while we were on a 500 mile trip, the TPMS light came on - not the warning light - just the letters TPMS. I took it to another shop whose techs looked at the system and te new sensor, couldn't find anything wrong, and reset the system. The light went out after their efforts. However, when we got back on the road, the light came on again.
