problem #3

CR-V EX-L 2.4L 4 cyl 5a

  • Automatic transmission
  • 19,000 miles

I have multiple issues with drivers seat. One of the problem is seat lowering down by it self. After 35-45 minutes of driving, it's lowering down by itself. It's not fix yet. I brought my cat to dealer ship on December 17, 2014. They can not make decision yet.

problem #2

Dec 012013

CR-V EX 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

The seat was requiring 3-5 pumps per trip. I complained to the service representative. There must have been a service bulletin as they removed the adjustment handle to see if the seat would lower on it's own. ( The handle could be touched by the leg on exit. The seat lowered in the first week without the handle.

I then went to the dealer and the seat base was replaced. The new seat base is 4 times worse than the original. It requires 5 pumps a day minimum and some days up to 10 pumps. I would weld the seat in place, but not all drivers want the seat in the same position.

I will be contacting Honda and will probably get the base replaced again.

CR-V LX

I have tried and tried to get this problem taken care of at my local dealer. They can't seem to be of any help. My drivers seat has a pump lift system, that when you want your seat at a higher position you pull the handle and pump it to the desired height. I like my seat in the highest position. Well, when my car is just sitting in the driveway the seat will lower. It's very bad on rough roads...one minute I can see out the rear view mirror just fine and the next thing I know I can't. This is a problem that is going to cause an accident.
