This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
When the Temperature dips below 40 Degrees F. The Back door Hatch does not function. I took it to the Dealer, Grossenger Honda, in Chicago, and they have replaced the Latch twice but have not solved any issue. Every winter, a new Latch is installed, but the door does not open. Now that my warranty is about to expire, and cannot load anything in the winter, I am looking to trade in my car, for something other than HONDA. I have owned Honda all my life, and their quality is seems to be getting worse and worse. Very Disappointed with HONDA.

This was the time our back hatch wouldn’t open. It only does this during the cold winter months. (Which for Texas, is only about 3-4 months out of the year.) when I took it to the dealership, they looked at me like I lost my mind. And of course it opened while I was there.
Now it’s like a joke with the family. Out shopping in the winter at night, hatch won’t open, so we say sweet nothings to see who can “get her to open up.†My car is a lesbian because I always win! Lol.
Still. This Honda has been the most reliable car we’ve had. I can live with this annoyance. I would complain louder if it were ever engine/transmission problems. Love my Honda!
