CR-V EX 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 28,215 miles

This is my second CRV. First was a 2010 and current is a 2013. This past month or so I have noticed a squeal when I apply final pressure to the brakes. Made an appointment with the dealer feeling good that it was still under warranty (mileage 28215/less than two years old) but apprehensive going in that they would not hear the squeal. Went thru the process of talking to the service manager and after about 30 minutes was told, they indeed had heard the squeal but it was not covered under warranty. They could give me no reason why it was squealing but they were more than willing to do a brake service costing $230.

So, another life lesson learned. They never fail to disappoint! This is the same dealer service department that I refused to go back to due to subterfuge with my 2010 CRV over something as simple as an oil change. I wouldn't have gone back this time if I would have done my homework! I have leased two cars and bought another at this dealership. Guess its time to find another to get screwed by..ha!

Brakes have squealed on my new Honda CRV since first month I bought the car. Dealership claimed to have fixed the problem but they still squeal like a pig. Honda Auto Nation in Memphis, Tn. said they could not do anything else to fix the problem. If you buy a Honda do not buy from this dealership as they will not fix warranty issues.

CR-V EX-L

For several months the rear brakes squeal when first used. I think the rear calipers are rusting overnight and the first use knocks it off. It could prematurely wear out the calipers.
