I am very dissatisfied with my 2013 Honda because the starter grinds in the cold start. Was told that engineers could not fix but it would not affect the car. Then the lights went on the dash warning us, so we took it in. They found Code: PO341 camshaft and crankshaft incorrect phase, repairman inspected the cam timing and found it to be two teeth off, Timing chain is stretched. Replaced timing chain, guides, and tensioner. Good thing we bought extended warranty - otherwise it would have cost us $2,000 plus.
This should not happen to a car that has only 54,000 miles! After this was repaired, the initial starter grind noise seem to disappear! Another Honda owner we know, had the same problem and that is how we know how much it cost. Now we are worried that this might happen again when our warranty is void. We will not be buying another Honda if that is the case! There are other problems that we have about our Honda, but this is the major one so far!
