My 2013 CR-V has had a transmission fluttering sound almost since day 1. Since I was covered under the 3yr/36K mile warrantee, I drove the car to see if the noise got any worse. The noise did get louder, i.e. I can hear it above the radio. Early on, I asked the dealer to look at it, but I needed to leave the vehicle and I was short on time. I took the CR-V into the Dealer before the 36K mile warrantee was up. The dealer had their tranny expert take it for a drive, and the expert heard the flutter. He stated that he has heard the sound in other CR-V’s, but not a lot of them. They stated that they can replace the transmission, but I would only be getting the same type. The dealer stated that since the powertrain is covered for 60K miles, wait to see if Honda recalls (ha!) that transmission. When I got home, I looked at the Dealers paperwork, and it said “transmission sound normalâ€. That is why I am posting this complaint. So I am at 37,000 miles, and we shall see. Hey Honda, call me! Let’s talk.

It started around 51k-55k miles and therefore right after the warranty stopped. The part is 800-1200!
