The seats in the car are so portable enough for short distances. On a longer trip of more than an hour, the back pain is unreasonable. Over time I have tried every cushion, pillow, and goal support. Nothing makes a long drive manageable. Disgusted to see that this is the number 7 complaint. I am selling g the car before my next long trip, but will not be going back to Honda again.

I switched from a 2007 Toyota Rav4 to a 2015 Honda CR-V, never considering that I'd deeply regret the decision and be pining for my old Rav seats, which were quite comfortable. Sadly, I didn't discover the problem with these incredibly uncomfortable seats until I'd already purchased the car from a private seller. Now I suspect that the low mileage had to do with the uncomfortable seats.

There is ZERO lumbar support or meaningful adjustment on the passenger front seat so it's truly like sitting in a torture device. After 15-20 mins of driving my lower back starts to scream, my butt goes numb and I experience tingling and numbness in my leg. After 30-60 minutes of driving develop a sharp pain in my thoracic region.

I've attempted numerous work-arounds in order to make a 13-hour car drive, which I was dreading because of the problems I was experiencing with the seats--just driving around town. The thought of facing an entire day in the Honda seemed like a torment.

I put a full-seat pad of foam under a sheepskin seat cover. Result: softer but still causing back pain. Then, I put a memory-foam seat on top of the sheepskin cover and inserted a small inflatable lumbar support from Relax The Back under my lumbar area. With enough tweaking of this arrangement, I'm able to drive without too much misery, but I'm furious that I've had to do this much Jerry-rigging on a $30K car.

From all the other complaints I've discovered, online, one would think that Honda would have the good sense and common decency to correct the myriad problems with their seats, but apparently they're content to have us owners rolling down the road, writhing in pain. I've actually pondered whether or not I could swap out my Honda torture contraptions for the more comfortable 10-year-old seats from my old Rav.

If I hadn't just spent $1200 in sales taxes on this car, I'd have turned around and resold it when I discovered the problem. Now, it's too late. I'm stuck with it.

This seat has been uncomfortable since I bought the car in 2016. Then I had a small accident, hit from behind at low speed. The crash did in my bumper and back door, but that is expected. What I didn't expect was the seat and the seat belt almost broke my tail bone and injured my lower back. I have had xrays and awaiting the results. There must be a bar in the back of the seat that injured me. I have not been able to walk without pain since it happened.

seats are uncomfortable, too thin, not soft enough

I bought the car in June of 2015. I like most everything about the car except the seats. They are like sitting on wood. We had to drive from Port Charlotte, FL to Dawsonville, Ga. and back last weekend, the first long trip we had taken. It took two days to recover from a 1200 mile plus round trip. I have driven a 2003 Pontiac Vibe from Port Charlotte to Indianapolis, straight through many times, and never had any pain or trouble recuperating. I asked the dealer if they had better seats you could buy and he said no. We have leather in the Touring model/package and the leather is OK, but the comfort is terrible. I will not buy another CRV nor Honda again. I leased a CRV when they first came out and thought the seats were bad then, but I thought after all these years that they would be improved. NO SO.

I own a 2015 CRV and am very disappointed. Except for this problem I love the car. However, I am very uncomfortable driving any real distance. It took me a while to figure out why I am so uncomfortable. I kept adjusting my seat forward, back, up, down with no more comfort. Then I tried adjusting the head restraint to no avail but did realize that it is the forward slant of the restraint that is causing my discomfort and PAIN.

Something really needs to be done to solve this problem. I tried calling my dealer to see if anything could be done but he had no solutions for me. I would never buy another Honda nor recommend a Honda to anyone. I already have back and hip problems and just can't deal with more back problems and neck problems.

extremely small and extremely uncomfortable. purchased crv in october of 2014. purchase mazda cx5 in november 2015. due to seat comfort. There is absolute no comparison on the comfort on the Mazda!!!

This is the most expensive car I have ever bought, I wish I had found this site before the purchase of the 2015 Honda CR-V because I would have never bought it.

Between my husband and myself this was our 4th Honda and our last. The seat was so uncomfortable that I dreaded driving it, I put the car in every position possible and it was always uncomfortable. I called the salesman to ask if I could bring it back after 13 days and at that point I would have lost 16% of the cost of the car, I don't think he wanted to take it back, so I started to explore other options.

I tried cushions that did not work. It's odd that a company who designs such a beautiful car with a powerful engine would not take into consideration the comfort of it's driver and passenger, very poor design and terrible business practice. Shame on you Honda.

I traded it in for another make and model at a huge loss, but I am comfortable in the seat and the new car is easy to manage.
