paint is wearing off paint is wearing off paint is wearing off

This Honda is a great car and should last a long time but between last year when I noticed the paint wear at the door/window meeting point to now the car looks unacceptable. a full paint job will be necessary to correct it if I am to keep the car without looking like I am driving a junker vehicle. I expect more from Honda. I was told by my dealership some WHITE painted honda vehicles were subject to a recall by Honda national. There was also an issue with clearcoats I logged my complaint at Honda national as well with the VIN

Update from Jul 11, 2026: I went through the hoops that Honda national customer service request requested which was a trip to a dealership followed by a referral to a certified Honda body shop. Employees in both areas acknowledged the paint issue was something they see on Hondas and really a failure in the paint, but as expected Honda national chose not to provide any support for a Goodwill paint job. Granted the car is 10 years old, but I’ve never had paint wear off of any car no matter how old it was. I did my part of the process very quickly, but had to badger them to give me a verdict.
