CR-V EX V4

  • Automatic transmission

I bought a honda crv 2015. I'll try to make this history short. After a week I noticed a vibration on the passenger side I take the vehicle back to the dealer. They told me the vibration is normal in this vehicle so I'm back to home, not really happy. So after a few weeks I take to another dealer. they say we have an update for the vibration and I said wow finally. It was going to fix the problem, so I left the car for few days. So I came back to take the car. The vibration it went down a bit, but after 3 months the vibration returned more aggressive. I'm back to the same dealer. I told the person the vibration is back more aggressive and he told me we did the update. So back home, annoyed and sad for the situation. I'm calling American honda and opening a case. They told me to take back to the dealer so again, came back to the dealer. I told the gentleman I have a open case with honda. And he said ok leave the vehicle for few days and we can give you a rental car. I left the car for a week, and after a week they call me to say the vehicle is ready. As soon as I drive the car, it was the same. I went back to the dealer to tell the person, "hey I don't feel any change". After a week I took it to different dealer. And they said car already has the update. Back home. Again called American honda and I say I did everything, and the vibration is still present. I do not know what to do. I'm desperate, my warranty expires in 3 months. What is the next step? who will help us?

I am a disabled veteran, I recently had a major surgery at the Veterans Hospital in Tucson Arizona (A WHIPPLE) and the recovery time for the operation is 6 months to a year I had the operation April 24th so I’m still recovering.

My family was having a reunion in Michigan and several of my family members asked me to attend. I was a little afraid to attend but I haven’t seen these relatives in 50 years. My wife and I talked about it and decided to make the trip. My wife recently had a stroke and couldn’t drive but was able to plan the 30 day trip. We both have doctor’s appointments to keep. My medical appointments are in Silver City, N.M. Albuquerque, N.M. and Tucson, Az. My wife’s appointments are local. We decided that we should get a new car to make sure we wouldn’t have any car problems.

On June29, 2015 we went Borman Autoplex in Las Cruces, New Mexico to look for a new vehicle. We bought a 2015 Honda CR-V. On Sunday, July 26th, 2015 we traveled to Tucson, Az. for a doctor’s appointment on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 9:00am. We stopped for breakfast at the PETRO west of Deming. After breakfast, we proceeded on our journey to Tucson. As I merged onto the interstate I heard a knocking somewhere in the vehicle and pulled off the road. The knocking was coming from the engine. All the indicator lights and gauges on the instrument panel showed no signs of trouble. I decided to return home as I thought something might be wrong. I drove home on the Old Lordsburg Highway. About mile marker 10 the vehicle engine quit and I rolled to a stop and all the indicator lights came on. At this time I contacted the salesman, “Rueben, who told me to have the vehicle towed to the dealership. I contacted and used Honda Roadside Assistance. Action Towing from Las Cruces New Mexico arrived and towed the vehicle to Borman Autoplex. I’m not sure of the exact odometer reading, but I believe it was around 820 miles. I made arrangements with family to get me to Tucson for my doctor’s appointment. After thinking of my experience and after my doctor’s appointment I decided to contact Borman Autoplex for a status of my vehicle, about 12:30pm. I was told they had not looked at my vehicle yet. I advised them at that time I did not want the vehicle back and I wanted a replacement. I was told by the service manager they had not diagnosed the problem yet and to be patient. I advised them it didn’t matter because the vehicle had less than 1000 miles and I no longer felt safe or comfortable in the vehicle as I did not know what would happen next. The service manager said she would call me back. At this time I contacted Honda Headquarters and they also did not seem to care about my problem. They advised me their standpoint was to fix the vehicle under warranty. I told them it was not acceptable. They said anything further would have to come from the dealer. I advised Honda I would be contacting the Attorney General and retaining an attorney if need be. At this time the person at Honda told me she would refer my complaint to a representative who would start a case file. She said the case manager would be contacting me by close of business the next day. I then contacted the finance company, Capital One, regarding my troubles since they have a stake in the matter. They too did not seem to care or want to assist me. They said it was up to the dealer. I contacted my insurance carrier and they told me since it was a mechanical malfunction nothing could be claimed on insurance. When I returned home on Monday afternoon, Borman Autoplex called me and said they made arrangements for me to have a rental car. My sister drove me to Las Cruces where the fun begins. When I arrived at Borman Autoplex I was met by a salesman. I advised him I wanted a replacement vehicle and explained my circumstance. He began paperwork for a “NEW” car using the car with the bad motor as a trade in!! I couldn’t believe what was being proposed. I told them it was ridiculous! They told me I could not get a “NEW” vehicle any other way. They said they will replace the motor in the original vehicle and I told them I did not trust the vehicle. They offered me an extended warranty or service contract on the vehicle for no charge. They did not grasp the idea I DO NOT WANT the original car they sold me. It is not reliable and who knows what else will go wrong. On top of that their first offer was give me trade in value at a used car price I brought 1 month ago. I left Borman Autoplex, seven hours later, feeling abused and taken advantage of. I did not get a rental car in the interim as I did not tell them which route I wanted to go, fix the old one or sign a new contact for a “NEW” car. My wife had a therapy appointment July 29 and no means to get her there so she missed it. They told me before I could get a rental I needed to make a decision. I felt much mistreated and told them I needed time to think. They did finely get me a rental but told me I couldn’t take it to Michigan. The first payment on the car was drafted from my account on July 26, 2015. They did finally get the car fixed but I was a week late on starting my trip. American Honda did try to talk to me while I was driving but my wife told them that I couldn’t talk because I was driving. I couldn’t and didn’t want to talk until I got back home from my trip. When I did get home there was a letter from American Honda that said I had ten days to respond to them or my case will be ended the letter was already 15 days old I’ve tried calling every day but they will not return my calls. I’m not sure if you can assist me in this matter but I feel I am being wrongfully treated. The resolution Borman Autoplex has offering me $10,000 more for a new car is NOT Acceptable. I purchased a new car with 186 miles. A reasonable person would think it has passed inspections and is safe to drive. Borman Autoplex also said a reasonable person would expect a replacement vehicle under these circumstances but from a business perspective it could not be done. I know New Mexico has a “Lemon Law” but I’m not familiar with it. All I want is a replacement vehicle or some kind of compensation. The original vehicle I purchased has depreciated drastically. I appreciate any assistance you may have in resolving this matter.
