Ok. So, in 2015 July 15th, after deciding to trade in my accord, after man reviews of prior 2015 CRV AWD owners, there was one, who I am literally him right now… 5 years now, tired of sending Attorney General of Columbus, OH, Lemon Laws, Safe Car, and playing phone games with Honda America in California and Wells Fargo about the 4 life threatening crashes that I was lucky to stop from happening, and now, the intense and dangerous vibrating and bouncing of the driver front wheel suspension on the CRV.
Back in 2005, Dodge made a comeback with the Diesel RAM. My ex and I were pulled over by police on our way to Arvada, CO for Military PCS. The vibration was SO bad the vehicle had no control and was almost flipping over. The CRV… 3 mos after I started the lease, the vibration started. I contacted Lujack Honda in Davenport IA where I got it from and then moved to Ohio for my CDL. Went to Lindsey Honda. They said they are aware of the issue.
There were 3 steps. First, was a download to the chip. If it fails, come back. I did. First they lied saying "we never saw your vehicle". I pulled out my oil, tire rotation AND the chip download for the issue documents. Then they said, "you will have to pay $2,000 for the dampener in the rear trunk under the brake light". I raised hell and kept asking why is a defect a "warranty" issue? Finally, the manager told the rep to print the forms I demanded that Honda sent to dealerships on how to manage customers with the issue. It CLEARLY (and yes, I have the document) stated that if they come back after paying for the dampener, to NOT tell the customer what is on the document. It basically proves Honda knows it is a defect.
I ended the lease to a purchase with Germain Honda in Dublin. Asked again, WHEN will Honda fix this issue. This is after I met with a lawyer and did the paper trail and allowed Honda time to fix it by filing with the Attorney General, Lemon Laws, called Honda America to file a complaint and they responded under pressure by the Attorney General office in California and Iowa where I also filed as well per the lawyer. They brushed it off. Germain Honda’s rep told me that what happens is that Honda will only pay the dealerships the PARTS cost but NOT labor. So they push customers away and say just pay it off or get another vehicle. NO! Dodge / Chrystler, they EARNED my respect.
We went to John Elway in Denver and they researched, then we received a letter from Chrysler/Dodge. Took the truck to the dealer in Iowa City where we retired a year later when they looked into the issue and found the dampener… it was the rings and joints that were incorrectly calibrated. They took time at the factory to redo parts, test them and that year later after always having us come in and do a temporary fix to add shock absorbing parts until they finished the investigation, they told us to take it to the dealer off Hwy 6 and Benton in 2007 and it was DONE. They acknowledged and FIXED the factory issue. NOT pass the problem to us like Honda. It would only cost $800 total, per Germain.
I told them… it’s NOT OUR problem Honda will not pay them. I should NOT, nor should ANY customers, pay $36,000 for a defective vehicle.
Now it is 2020, and as I told them, this week, the steering wheel is vibrating like mad, pulling left and right, it is visibly jumping up and down, I cannot keep it in a straight line. Honestly, I pray it blows up and I would take my stuff out before it does, and walk away with my stuff in a bag on the road like Clint Eastwood and smile and say to myself "Honda, Wells Fargo… NOT… my problem..." and smile while it bursts into flames. But, we all know I cannot do that.
I am looking online now for ALL pending lawsuits and It's show time. I have all the documents and saved links and filed complaint numbers to the Attorney Generals. Guide me to what steps I should take to resolve this. 3 months ago, I went to Germain Toyota, had them look at it… told them I do NOT have the heart to trade it in and find out someone else dies driving it. They priced the value of the CRV under $7,000 and said they would likely take it to an auction lot due to the severity of the suspension. I had them drive it. It is NOT good.
Thank you for any and all advice to settle this. It's going to either fall off now due to wear and tear from Honda not fixing the defective suspension. I'm D O N E being nice and patient.
